Givit Your Videos Before FlipShare Taketh Away in December 2013

If you’re a Flip Video camera owner, take note – the FlipShare software you use to store and share your videos will be a thing of the past come December 2013. Fortunately, that gives you plenty of time to address the matter.

FlipShare is being replaced by Givit, cloud software that will allow for simple, private video sharing. All videos on Givit will be private by default, and can then be shared with designated contacts at the user’s discretion. Givit works with almost all video formats, and can be used on PC/Mac, Android devices, and iOS devices. The app is available now on Google Play (Android Market) and the iTunes App Store.

Unfortunately, Givit only gives 2 GB of storage for free. If you were enjoying free storage of more than 2 GB on FlipShare, you’ll have to pony up if you want to keep all of those videos. Any videos still on FlipShare 30 days after December 31st, 2013 will be deleted, so if you want to hang on to cloud storage for your FlipShare videos, Givit will be the default solution you’ll need to switch to. Givit is selling 10 GB, 25 GB, and 50 GB of storage for $30, $50, and $100 per year, respectively.
