Virgin Mobile is now carrying HTC’s flagship non-flagship smartphone, the Desire. That means you can get a pretty decent phone at a pretty decent unsubsidized price, sans contract.
The HTC Desire, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and sports a 4.5” qHD display, is fairly well-endowed when it comes to specs, considering its price point. You’ll also find 4G LTE compatibility, a 5 MP rear camera, NFC, and a microSD card slot, along with HTC’s special goodies that they throw on some of their phones. That includes BlinkFeed, the customizable social media stream, and BoomSound, which features stereo speakers and built-in amps, making for a much more powerful sound coming natively from the phone than what you might be used to.
The HTC Desire is available now through Virgin Mobile for $280, with monthly plans featuring unlimited text and data ranging from $35 to $55.
