Where’s our replicator? Her Universe, one of the best sources of fangirl fashion, has gotten together with ThinkGeek for a Star Trek 50th anniversary fashion collection, because there’s still a month and a half before 2016 ends! The collection spans The Original Series and The Next Generation, giving us blazers, tees, skirts, dresses, and jackets that really do give us hope for the better future Star Trek promised.
The collection is split into clothes inspired by uniforms worn on the shows and clothes using Star Trek motifs. The most basic (in a good way!) pieces are the collared tees based on the Starfleet uniforms from The Next Generation. There also plain skirt TOS counterparts available in blue, red, and yellow, along with similar full length dresses.
There’s also a Mae dress covered by a colorful, Enterprise-filled pattern, along with an equally colorful sunburst skirt. That Enterprise pattern also shows up on a tee and an infinity scarf (do they even make regular scarves anymore?). But, the top picks have to be the jackets and blazers! The grey Wesley Crusher bomber jacket is too ironic for us to resist, but the patched blue Starfleet bomber is a solid choice, as well. The red and black blazer with the inner Starfleet lining classes up command in ways not seen since the days of Patrick Stewart himself.
The whole line is launching on ThinkGeek today. On top of all the clothes, they have a whole collection of brooches and pins for accessorizing. Spending $85 will get you one set of four pins for free, with a second set coming after you shell out $150. You can check it all out here, and make sure you try to save a little money to buy other people gifts for the holiday season — we don’t live in that post-cash future just yet!
