Lady Gaga Tweeted About Prison & Amanda Knox Clapped Right Back

It can’t be easy being famous and having to deal with everyone being all over you. Lady Gaga certainly doesn’t think it’s easy, and she took to Twitter to share her thoughts on this.

“Fame is prison,” Lady Gaga tweeted, and someone was not pleased with what she had to say.

Amanda Knox replied to her with, “I hear you, but…prison is prison.”

Amanda was convicted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy back in 2007.

Amanda’s boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was also convicted of the murder.

She went on to spend 4 years behind bars in Italy, until 2011 when she was acquitted of Meredith’s murder.

In a bizarre twist, Amanda’s acquittal was overturned in 2013, and she was actually retried.

Finally, in 2015, Italy’s Supreme Court decided that Amanda was innocent entirely, after deciding that the prosecution’s case against Amanda had some severe flaws.

They did go on to convict Rudy Guede, whose fingerprints were covered in blood and found on Meredith’s bed. He is currently serving a 16 year-long sentence.

Amanda has pretty much flown under the radar this entire time, but she opened up to NBC News about how her whole ordeal has pretty much obliterated her ability to trust people.

“I worry that when I meet people, they will have a great conversation with me face to face and I’ll think that we had a human connection, but then they’ll walk away and go to their buddies and be like, ‘Yeah, I talked to the killer Amanda Knox,’” Amanda said.
