Andrea Plant Air Purifier is Better than Febreeze

Looking for a more natural way to purify the air and add a bit of green to your home? Andrea is a plant, but so much more than that and was a result of a collaboration between designer Mathieu Lehanneur and Harvard professor David Edwards. It is an environmental purifier that uses the air-cleansing powers of plants and has a modular, bubble topped sci-fi look. The apparatus enhances the plant's ability to remove toxic gases of indoor air and pump out clean oxygen.

Hello Kitty Sushi Maker Because Hello Kitty Lovers Her Tuna

We promised no more mentioning of Hello Kitty wares - and I guess we lied, but we couldn't resist not mentioning this latest one. The Hello Kitty Sushi Maker is a ridiculous waste of money, but if you use it correctly you'll have the most interesting looking sushi ever! Fresh from Strapya World is the Sanrio Hello Kitty Sushi Maker. The kit includes everything in pink. The compressor is even a Hello Kitty shape. I still don't know how to make normal Sushi, so I can't imagine what it would turn out if I attempted to make this! It would probably look like a Pokemon instead. If you ...

Looftlighter Blows Enough Heat to Melt Mr. Freeze

When I first spotted the Looftlighter I thought it was just a really cool curling iron. Instead, it is actually a  firestarter without the flame. Richard Looft created the Looftlighter out of frustration from barbecued food tasting like lighter fluid. Basically this is a hair dryer on steroids that blows enough extreme heat (about 1000 Fahrenheit and higher) to kick start a fireplace's logs to go on fire and a BBQ grill's coals to burn. Please just don't use it on your hair, no matter how late you are in the morning. The Looftlighter retails for $79.99 at ThinkGeek.

Dyson DC31 Animal Handheld Vacuum Review

The Dyson DC31 Animal could be considered the handheld version of the Dyson upright and canister vacuums. It too has the root technology that its other siblings have, along with powerful suction, and sensitivity to allergens too. I have used many a vacuum in my years on this earth: Hoover, Kenmore, Dirt Devil, Miele, iRobot Roomba, Shark, and the Black & Decker Dustbuster, to name a few, and even the old school Electrolux. But until this past week I had actually never gotten my hands on a Dyson.

Steampunk and Circuit Board Menorahs for 2009

Sure, the Christmas tree gets all the attention around this time of year, but what about the Menorah? These super cool Menorahs will make your dreidal drool. Last year we spotted the LED Motherboard Menorah but these latest two that we have unearthed, would pretty much put that one to shame.  The Steampunk Menorah from Klockwerks is probably the most badass Menorah I have ever laid my eyes upon. Even if you aren't Jewish this would be damn cool to have in your home! Then there is the handmade Menorah from  Etsy that was conceived from a recycled circuit board from the 80's. So not only is it a religious item - it's green too! The RECYCLED Circuit Board from Etsy retails for $69, but sadly we can't find any pricing info on the Steampunk Menorah from

Snoppy Mini Fridge Can Only Fit Woodstock’s Groceries

The Snoopy Mini Fridge is so cute even if it can only fit in two cans of coke or maybe also a sandwich. The price is a bit ridiclous as well for $299.99, but it does sport  Snoopy drawings and its light blue color make it a nice addition to any dorm room, bedroom, or Snoopy collector.

Brave New World Lamp Loves its Bamboo

I wouldn't suggest holding a candle near this lamp. The Brave New World Lamp started as a concept piece of ramdom "thought-initiated construction" and was first available in Europe and now is finally available stateside. Constructed out of bamboo without an actually plan in mind. It was created by just carefully applying pieces of wood together to form a shape which eventually became a lamp. It supports a max of 20W and retails for $3214. Now that's alot of green for some bamboo!

HoMedics Restore Water Purification Uses UV Light to Kill Bacteria

HoMedics has turned water filtration on its ear today with the release of the Restore, a complete water purification system in a pitcher. Restore will provide cleaner and supposedly better tasting tap water by utilizing germ-killing Ultraviolet (UV) Clean Technology to remove bacteria and viruses with a filtration system to reduce metals, chlorine (taste and odor), and other pollutants. Restore’s UV Clean Technology utilizes UV light in the C spectrum to kill most of this bacteria. Geez…I’m not sure what kind of water HoMedics thinks we are drinking…Its sounds like its from the street or toilet bowl with all this bacteria it plans on killing with the UV light.  The Restore will

Hands on with the Dyson Air Multiplier

Today we had the opportunity of meeting with James Dyson himself and getting a hands-on with the new Dyson Air Multiplier. If you haven't heard about it already, the Air Multiplier is the world's first "bladeless fan" that can produce an interrupted stream of smooth air without any buffeting. We'd by lying if we said we understood the ingenious technology process that went in to the design of the Air Multiplier, and James did do a great job of explaining it to us, but instead we'll get right to the practicality of the device. First of all, because it's bladeless - it's super safe. You can literally stick your head through it without getting hurt. We can especially vouch for that, since we watched a fellow blogger take a "head shot" using one. The device is also portable, you can dismantle it in to two pieces for easy traveling and throwing into a suitcase.
