If your sick best friend’s spouse admitted that they were in love with you, would you keep it a secret in order to try to protect your bestie?
This woman’s best friend has a very serious disease, and she doesn’t want to go into details about it for fear of her best friend being recognized, but her best friend’s medical care is paid for by her husband’s job.
If her best friend were ever to divorce her husband, she would lose that critical care. She would also have to come up with way more money than she has, but she can’t work because of her disease.
Additionally, her best friend’s husband generously helps pay her mom and dad’s monthly expenses. So this is all to say that her best friend is extremely reliant on her husband to financially support her and her loved ones.
“Point is: she heavily relies on him in every way possible, and there is no way she would opt for divorce. Meaning she would just be severely suffering emotionally, which can also lead to her disease becoming worse,” she explained.
“Doctors said stress should be avoided as [much as] possible while she is still getting treated. Having [said this], it feels like such a heavy burden to carry.”
And what burden is that? Well, her best friend’s husband confessed his love for her, and she has not told her best friend about this, nor does she plan to.
Well, she will let her best friend know about what her slimy husband did when she feels better, but she’s not sure when that will be, so for now she’s keeping quiet for the sake of her best friend’s health.
“She keeps praising him and calling him the best husband ever, and that men like him don’t exist anymore. My heart just breaks so badly for her, and I feel like a horrible friend for keeping this from her,” she added.

She has a mountain of evidence: her best friend’s husband literally sent her voice notes professing his love for her, so he can never say it wasn’t him.
She also has proof of her rejecting her best friend’s husband and saying she will out him to his entire family if he tries to talk to her ever again.
“Despite knowing I’m doing this to protect her, I still can’t help shake the feeling of being sneaky,” she concluded.
Wow, leaving behind audio evidence is baffling to me. Her best friend’s husband isn’t really that smart, is he? Regardless, I do think she’s making the right call, refusing to share this secret with her best friend while her health is at stake.
I do agree with her waiting until her best friend is out of the woods to share this with her, as she can’t have that kind of stress at the moment.
