This Country Star Has Created A Free Grocery Store On Wheels To Help Make Sure Elderly People Can Get What They Need Right Now

Brad Paisley is a 47-year-old country singing star best known for his hits like “When I Get Where I’m Goin” and “We Danced.”

Brad is from Nashville, Tennessee, and just last year he and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley decided to create a completely free grocery store there for families in need, called The Store.

Just yesterday, Brad announced he is making it all mobile and his new grocery store on wheels will help make sure elderly people in Nashville will get what they need.

A lot of older people right now are having a hard time getting out to the stores to buy things that are quickly getting snapped up in a panic.

Brad’s free grocery store is also still open, but he felt he needed to something more to help out those in need from his home town.

“Well The Store is open, but in light of how times have changed, we have decided to change the way we do things a bit,” Brad said in an Instagram video.

“We’re mobilizing a group of volunteers to deliver one week’s groceries to elderly people that should not be out shopping on their own in these times.”

Brad went on to explain that he already has a list of seniors from the Edgehill and Berry Hill areas and that he and his team will be making sure those people get everything they need, while also “following all protocol to make sure we’re doing this right.”

He ended his video message by saying, “If you know somebody that should be on this list, please email us at info@thestore.org to make sure we get them the food that they need right now. They don’t need to be out.”

Brad also shared that they are keeping The Store open, and posted in the description section of the video:

“Also We will continue to operate regular hours 1-7 Th/F 11-5 Sat for walk-ins but please bring ID and either proof of income, proof of residence, or statement of unemployment for our recently unemployed neighbors.”
