Nichole Cable was a 15-year-old girl living in Glenburn, Maine. She lived with her step-dad, her mom, and three sisters who were all younger than her.
Glenburn is a small town with less than 5,000 residents, located an 18-minute drive away from the college town of Bangor. Prior to what happened to Nichole, it had been 4 decades since anyone had been murdered in Glenburn.
Nichole was a sophomore in high school. She was called “CoCo” for short.
On the night of May 12th, 2013, she disappeared down the end of her driveway and was never seen alive again by her loved ones.
She was on her way to meet up with a friend, but it turned out the person she met up with was no friend of hers at all.
What came out in the days following her disappearance revealed an obsessed older man, a fake Facebook profile and a twisted kidnapping plot to set her stalker up as her hero.
Nothing about her story ended in an act of heroism. It only ended in a twisted tale and her tragic murder.
