Holly Bobo was a 21-year-old young woman who was studying to be a nurse. She was kind, and she was pretty reserved.
While she was going to school at the University of Tennessee, she was also living at home with her mom, dad, and brother named Clint in Darden, Tennessee.
Darden is certainly a small community by all means, and there were less than 400 people living there shortly before Holly vanished.
On April 13th, 2011, Holly got up early, around 4 a.m., so she could fit some studying in before her day really started.
She had an exam at 8 a.m. and her mom thought everything was ok with her as she left for work that morning.
But right before 8, one of the neighbors dialed up Holly’s mom Karen to report that they heard someone screaming inside the family home.
Holly’s brother Clint was home at the time, though he was fast asleep, and he didn’t hear the scream the neighbor was talking about.
He did, however, think he saw Holly walking into the woods around 8 a.m. with her boyfriend…but it turns out that man wasn’t who he thought it was.
Holly would never be seen alive again.
