Her Dad Wants To Take Kidnapping Style Photos Of Her Teen Daughter And The Internet Is Saying Cut All Contact
A 30-year-old woman who has a troubling history with her family is asking the internet for help after her own dad did something downright disturbing.
She began by explaining that her family was abusive to her from the time she was a baby all the way through her mid-20s.
Things were so bad that at that point in time, she cut off all contact with her family, which includes her mom, her dad, and her brother.
She currently goes to therapy to try to address the PTSD and aftermath of the extreme trauma they caused to her.
“The past year I got back in touch with my parents and brother who lives with them,” she wrote.
“Having my brother back has been amazing, we were best friends growing up. I have extensive mental problems, caused by their awful upbringing of me, and so now that they are back in my life I have allowed them to help in small ways.”
For example, her family will help get her 9-year-old daughter to her dance class. They will also help take her 13-year-old daughter to drama club.
Since she does not currently have a car, these small things help her immensely.
“Anyway, over the weekend they were visiting, my eldest daughter and my mother were in my driveway, and my daughter climbed into the boot(trunk) of the car, my mum thought it was hilarious so took a photo,” she continued.

“She showed my dad. Everything went on as normal, they all thought it was funny.”
Things were fine, until her mom for some reason brought up the topic of the photo the other night while they were in the car driving her daughter home from dancing.
“My dad said “next time you should get her to pretend it’s a kidnap, that would be a good photo. Like put something in her mouth and tie her up as if we are actually kidnapping her.” And laughed.”
“The air in the car went stale. I’m not sure what I’m hoping for here, just had to get it off my chest I guess. It’s creepy though, right?”
Her brother was also inside of the car, and he didn’t say a single thing.
She then added that her family members have never been entirely alone with either of her daughters, and she has no idea what her family is truly capable of.

“Definitely creepy. It might be a good idea to supervise your parents while they are around your kids and have some conversations with your kids about consent and what they should do if someone does something that makes them feel uncomfortable.”
“Creepy? Yes. Psychotic? Also yes. Your dad has issues. The very thought of my daughter being kidnapped makes me want to seek vengeance upon the people that did it, not laugh.”
“As a fellow parent, that would definitely freak me out. Normal people just…don’t think like that. Given your history, I’d definitely be worried this is a small glimpse into some much bigger issues this guy has.”
“It’s up to you whether you think he’s a safe person to let around your daughter, but if I were you, I would be giving that question some very serious thought.”
“My first thought is your father wants to sell those photos.”
“This is disturbing. I see that you noted you keep them away from your children unless supervised, but honestly, behavior like this (even supervised) can be grooming.”
“I would strongly reconsider how much access they have to your children even with you there. For example, have they texted, video chatted, emailed, called your children unsupervised?”
“If so, you have no idea what your children are already being exposed to. This is a really tough situation to be in. I’m so sorry that it’s happening to you.”
