Her Neighbor Accused Her Of Being Too Young To Own Her House And She’s Telling The Internet Her Neighbor Then Called The Police On Her
A 20-year-old woman recently bought her very own home, and she paid just $15,000 for it. It surprisingly didn’t need to have a lot done to it, though she does need to put a brand new roof on and get new cabinets.
The man who used to own the house that she bought was elderly and passed years ago.
A few months ago she moved into her new house, and she has enjoyed the process of decorating it in her own way.
She does admit it’s an adjustment living all by herself, but things seemed to be going well up until a few weeks back.
While she was in her yard deciding where she would like to put in some flowers and gardens, her new 50-year-old neighbor named Jane, who lives next to her, walked up to say hi.
After she said hello to Jane, she told her that she was going to be her neighbor and that she was working on the property to make sure she was set up to plant her gardens next spring.
Jane immediately thought she was renting the house from the man who had previously lived there, and after getting lectured by Jane on how she had to not be a noisy neighbor or have any loud parties, she explained to Jane that she was the new owner.
Jane thought she was lying when she revealed that piece of information, and she returned to her house.
Strange interaction, right? Well, things with Jane only got weirder from there.

Days ago, she started to paint the door that faces the front of her house, and Jane angrily came over and snapped at her for needing permission before painting a house she doesn’t own.
“I again told her I own the home,” she said.
“She started yelling that I was too young to buy a house and she was contacting my landlord. I told her to stop being a busy body and leave me alone.”
“She started demanding proof. I told her it was none of her business and to get off my property. She walked to the edge of her yard and called the police saying I was a squatter.”
The police did come, and she presented her evidence that she bought the home to them, before asking that they have Jane escorted off her property. Jane was livid.
She decided to speak to her dad about the situation and ask his advice for how to handle things. Her dad reprimanded her for having made quick enemies with Jane since that’s her neighbor, and her dad thinks she should have handled it differently.
Her dad thought that it would have been better if she let Jane see the paperwork stating she owned the house instead of letting things blow up like that.
She doesn’t agree with her dad that she did anything wrong here.
Here’s what the internet had to say.
“Your neighbor made an enemy of you, not the other way around. She bullied you because of your age, this is not your fault. You didn’t owe her proof of homeownership at all. She’s not entitled to that, she’s a stranger.”
“Even if you showed her the deed, the way you painted her, she probably would’ve claimed the deed was fake.”
“And deeds are public records. If she cared that much she could have looked it up, or called the “landlord” as she threatened to do (I assume the previous owner) either of which would have cleared it up.”
“You showed the deed to the police and that was enough. Being a 20-year-old living next door almost guarantees with or without a deed your neighbor wasn’t going to like you anyway.”
“Misery, jealousy, and envy love company so be on the lookout for the real housewives of your neighborhood posse she tries to put together.”
“Jane needs to mind her business. Tell her she is no longer welcome on your property and to pound sand. Your dad is so wrong!”
“Something tells me that Jane isn’t very popular with the other neighbors.”
