She Called Her Sister After Flying To Texas With A Man To Say She Was Scared And Wanted To Come Home: That Was 3 Years Ago, And Nobody Has Seen Or Heard From Her Since
Midland, Texas. 19-year-old Caitlin Denison lived in Reno, Nevada, and on January 9th of 2018, she flew out to Midland, Texas with a man that she had met in Reno.
The day that Caitlin got on the plane, she sent her sister Rachael a text saying that she would text her or call her from a phone number that had a Reno area code.
Caitlin wanted to make sure that Rachael would pick up and know it was her, and she said that she would reach out at approximately 2 that afternoon.
Rachael waited around, expecting Caitlin to reach out, but she never did. That evening, she had still not heard from Caitlin at all.

“The next day, Jan, 10th 2018 at 12:31 in the afternoon Caitlin had called me from a local Walmart in the area of Midland, TX,” Rachael explained in a message her friend shared to a GoFundMe page.
“While we were on the phone I wasn’t able to get much information other than Caitlin was frightened and she wanted to come home.”
“The phone call was so short because the man returned to the same area of the store that Caitlin was calling me from so she had to hang up.”
“She then texted me her current location and stated in another message “This guy makes me a little scared for my life.” She also stated that “He is mad that I won’t let him lay a hand on me.”

Rachael stopped hearing from Caitlin after that, and she then reached out to the authorities to report her sister as missing.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, someone did see Caitlin right before she vanished.
Caitlin had been in Odessa at Rick’s Cabaret, and then she was spotted in Midland at the Wal-Mart located on Briarwood Drive.
She had been wearing furry boots, a black shirt, a fur vest, and black leggings that had braids along the sides of her legs.
In a post that Rachael shared to Facebook in 2019, she mentioned that when Caitlin was last seen in Texas, she had been with a truck driver that she met the night earlier.
The police have since questioned him, along with his mom, and he didn’t have much to say except that Caitlin was attempting to get a job in the area but she kept getting passed up over the scars that she has on her body.
Also, Caitlin had been at his house one evening, but after he went to sleep and woke up she was gone, along with her personal belongings, and he had no contact with her after that.
Rachael then wrote that months after Caitlin was last spotted, a woman claimed to have given her a ride somewhere.
It’s now been 3 years without any sighting of Caitlin, and Rachael says that her case has gone cold.

“I know my sister would contact me if she was able to,” Rachael said. “I’m sure you all have so many questions to ask. Any questions I am able to answer or legally give information on, I will.”
“Keep in mind the case is cold but it’s still open so some things I am not legally cleared to speak on, regardless of accuracy. Please share my sister’s story. I want her home so so so very much.”
Rachael is currently working to raise enough money to hire a private investigator to help search for Caitlin, and she’s also hoping to be able to put up billboards in the Midland area to raise awareness for her sister’s disappearance.
