A woman is married to her husband, and he has had a dog 6 years prior to them tying the knot. She never liked her husband’s dog, but she always just tried to put up with him.

Now, don’t get her wrong, she really adores dogs, but her husband’s dog is just too much to really deal with.

“He’s a large dog that’s incredibly hyperactive,” she explained. “I mean he’s straight up like a wild animal.”

“He’s constantly jumping on people, in your face, and just will not sit still. He’s knocked me over 3 times. He’s not destructive thought so at least there’s that.”

She and her husband attempted to take the dog on walks in an effort to calm him down, but that didn’t work.

They also got a place with an enormous backyard for the dog to enjoy, but that still isn’t enough to tire him out.

Although her husband’s dog endless runs in the backyard, he then comes back into the house and goes nuts.

She did try putting him in a room by himself to see if that would help, but he just howled to come out of there.

Another thing that made her crazy about the dog is the amount of hair that would end up all over the house.

She needed to run the vacuum every day without fail in order to keep the hair down, but still, it caused problems for her.

Also, she could never go on vacation with her husband because their family members also hated the dog.

“I begrudgingly tolerated the dog as best I could because my husband adores him,” she said. “And then I had a baby, and couldn’t take it anymore.”

“Being a first-time mom was stressful enough as it is, but the dog made it 100X worse. Not to mention unsafe since the dog constantly jumped on you and I was terrified he’d knock me over while holding my sweet new baby.”

“He had to go. My husband wasn’t willing to rehome the dog, so I said the dog had to stay outside and I wouldn’t compromise anymore on that matter.”

The dog is still living outside, and her husband is already with it. The dog does come into the garage to sleep at night, which is heated in the winter.

She also set up a little pool and a fan to keep the dog nice and cool for the summertime heat.

Although she’s ok with the dog being outside for good, her husband’s family is not. When they come to their house, her husband’s family constantly says that they feel bad for the dog since he lives outside.

It’s worth mentioning that these family members are the ones who refused to watch their dog, insisting that he was way too much for them to manage. Regardless, the comments that her husband’s family continues to make are leaving her feeling like she maybe did do something wrong by forcing the dog to live outside.
