This Airbnb Host Outraged TikTok With Her Bizarre Responses To Guest Reviews

Most people either love the Airbnb platform or hate it. Pros of renting include streamlined communication between guests and hosts, practically endless home listings, and a homey feel.
Some people, though, believe that the cons outweigh these positives. The booking process is lengthier, Airbnb rentals are not always more affordable, and hosts can be too strict or invasive.
One TikToker named Kylie has capitalized on the “bad host” experience and created a slew of videos that narrate the outrageous responses that one host named Terry has said to her guests.
Kylie’s hilarious first video is what really reeled the TikTok community in.
“I have found the most unhinged woman on Airbnb ever, and I need to tell you guys about her,” Kylie began.
Terry’s place is a cute, near-beach option for smaller parties. Located in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, the “Seahorse Beach Cottage”– built in 1930– features a teal green exterior with a cozier layout.
The Airbnb is also priced quite accordingly for its tinier square footage– landing at ninety-eight dollars per night.
However, it is essential for Kylie to read the reviews before booking any getaway. After all, why not reference other guests’ experiences before making your final decision? This was when the hilarity arose in Kylie’s Airbnb search.

“There are one hundred and five reviews with an average of 4.63 stars. So, you think it’s a great place to stay, right?” Kylie said, “But Terry takes her cottage very seriously…”
She then displayed and narrated various screenshots of guests’ reviews, to which Terry responded with outrageous come-backs.
“It was cute and quaint, very close to the beach. The bathroom was a little tight,” reviewed one guest.
This seems like an average review, right? Terry thought otherwise.
“This guest was very upset with me. That’s why she gave me three stars. She expected me to have a parking place for each guest she invited who was not on the reservation. I gave her suggestions of where they might put their car, but I am not taking responsibility for other people’s parking situations,” Terry responded. Ouch. The guest’s car situation was not even mentioned in the initial review!
After seeing this first host-guest interaction, Kylie was enthralled and read on.
“It’s a cute little cottage, but it is very sad that it’s not well maintained,” reviewed a second guest of Terry’s.
Terry did not take this criticism well.
“Oh my gosh, I gifted this person with a halfway decent review. Really, are you kidding me? A doctor, a pediatrician, that was six foot four leased this cottage for three years as a permanent home. The picture of the bathroom is in the listing. I don’t think my cottage needs to be judged because of someone’s size. I am not handicapped accessible, but she did not reveal that he was, and I don’t think he is. So this is a complete mystery,” Terry fired back.
Again, where did this response even come from?
“You really went there, Terry? On an Airbnb review that gave you three stars?” said Kylie.
Kylie was so blown away by Terry’s bizarre responses that she actually posted three more videos featuring further outrageous interactions.
In her second video, Kylie featured more bizarre Terry content. She also decided her favorite review was by a man named Steve.
All Steve said was, “It’s a cottage by the beach; priced properly.”
Terry personally attacked this guest yet again.
“This particular guest had only himself down but had four other people there. He failed to disclose that– which is highly against the rules,” Terry responded.
Another guest wrote, “Cute cottage. Hard to find parking.”
Terry flew in with another “Three stars, are you serious? Too bad I gave her a good review.”
Kylie found so many shocking Terry-responses that she had enough content to create two more TikTok videos. The third is linked here, and the fourth is linked here.
Her slew of videos collectively reached over two hundred and sixty-five thousand people and shocked the TikTok community.
“How do they still allow her to rent to people?” wondered one user.
“Terry is UNHINGED! I bet she could star on her own episode of Snapped,” commented a second user.
“Terry is a boomer. I just know it,” added a third user.
After reading her appalling responses to guests, would you ever stay at Terry’s place? How important is reading the reviews in your Airbnb booking process?
