When She Returned From Maternity Leave, This Teacher Let Her Kids Ask Her All The Questions They Wanted, And Some Of Them Are Hysterical

A science teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina recently returned to her classroom after having her beautiful baby boy. She’s gone viral by posting her post-maternity leave Q&A with her young students.

Nancy Bullard is a science teacher who is passionate about teaching young kids. Her TikTok and Instagram profiles are filled with videos and posts about science experiments, education, and the occasional classroom reaction video.

Nancy recently had a baby boy named Sam and was away from her students for three months on maternity leave.

On her first day back to school, she decided to film herself giving her students a presentation about her son and opened the floor to any questions they may have for her.

And boy, did they have some good questions.

As soon as the video starts, Nancy shows the class pictures of herself pregnant to remind her students of what she looked like three months prior.

One little voice behind the camera exclaims, “You were pregnant?!”

Another child replies to their classmate, saying, “Didn’t you remember?”

Too cute.

Nancy goes on to the next slide of her presentation, revealing pictures of her son. The classroom fills with little gasps and awws.

Hearing their little voices react to the new baby is just precious.

Nancy then opens the floor for any questions the students may have about babies, motherhood, what baby Sam has been up to, etc.

Many of the questions seem standard and typical for children to ask.

One student asked Nancy, “Are you trying to teach him how to walk?”

To which Nancy replied, “Not yet!”

She went on to explain how Sam is only 3-months-old, so the most he can do is lay down and smile.

Another child asked if Sam sleeps with Nancy and her husband. When Nancy told the class that he sleeps all by himself in his crib, the classroom was shocked!

“That baby is not afraid!” said one kid, while the classroom gave Sam a round of applause for sleeping all through the night alone.

“I had to sleep with my mom until I was one year old!” exclaimed another student.

Clearly, the class was very impressed by baby Sam.

Then finally, one kid asked a very big question that can make some adults squirm!

“Where do babies come from?”

Nancy very calmly explained where in the body babies come from, an organ called the uterus. Nicely done!

“There’s always that one kid that asks where babies come from,” commented one user on Instagram.

Towards the end of the video, one student mentions that one of the substitute teachers had told the classroom that Nancy wasn’t going to come back.

Nancy replied, “Oh, I’m back, baby!” You go girl.
