After This Woman Tried To Find A Job, Her Husband Became Furious And Is Trying To Force Her To Be A Stay-At-Home Mom

This twenty-one-year-old woman met her twenty-four-year-old husband in New Orleans. He was attending Tulane on an athletic scholarship while she worked as a waitress in town.
The pair immediately fell head-over-heels in love with each other and quickly got engaged. They only got married just a few months ago and are already expecting their first child together.
Amidst the whirlwind of romance and excitement, though, her husband’s father passed away. Her husband grew up on a massive farm in Kansas and, after losing his father, inherited the property and family business.
The couple was still living in New Orleans up until the loss. Afterward, they decided to move to Kansas indefinitely to help out with the farm and be there while the husband’s mother grieves.
The woman was not particularly ecstatic about her baby being raised on a farm, but she went with it because her husband was going through a tough time.
And after arriving, she went through a bit of culture shock. The farm is massive and very isolated.
There were also only two cars at the farm– her husband’s and her mother-in-law’s. This became a huge problem once the woman wanted to go job hunting.
“I asked to take the car to town to look for jobs, but my husband sat me down and told me it would not be practical for me to have a job at the moment,” the woman explained.
Her husband cited the lack of cars and so much work to be done on the farm as reasons for his decision.

While the woman was not very happy about it, she did understand how getting an in-person job might not be feasible at the moment.
So, she began exploring another avenue– work-from-home positions. And once dinner time rolled around, the woman tried explaining this idea to her husband. He still would not have it.
“He told me all work-from-home jobs are a scam and that he does not want me falling into a trap. Also, that he needs the laptop available at all times to communicate with his customers,” the woman recalled.
She was devastated but did not want to argue in front of his mother. So, the woman left it alone. That was until her husband’s family had a small gathering.
Apparently, the woman’s two sisters-in-law began questioning her about why she did not want to be a stay-at-home mom.
“They told me I should think of my family first, that all kids in this family are raised by stay-at-home moms, and that I should just go with it to make everyone happier,” she said.
Annoyed, the woman explained how she wanted to have a hand in supporting her family financially. Plus, she wanted an outlet aside from motherhood.
After the family gathering ended, her husband was furious, and the couple engaged in their first huge argument. Apparently, he told the woman that she was an embarrassment and acted heartlessly.
“He said he cannot believe I clearly don’t care enough about our baby to stay home and raise him,” the woman recalled.
She also got kicked out of their shared bedroom and is being forced to stay in a guest bed.
Since the incident, the pair have not spoken. And while the woman believes wanting a career is not the worst thing in the world, she is not sure if she overreacted.
Do you think it was fair for the woman’s husband to expect her to stay home with the children?
