She Discovered Her Old Love Letter To Her Ex-Boyfriend At Goodwill And She Decided To Buy It Back
People often find some pretty shocking things at thrift stores. But, one TikToker named Kaylee Powell recently discovered the most unexpected relic to date– a gift she made for her ex-boyfriend a decade ago.
That’s right; while browsing through her local Goodwill, an arts and crafts creation of her past caught her eye– a mosaic heart of two bunnies holding hands.
“This is a piece I made ten years ago for my high school boyfriend,” Kaylee said in shock.
And, apparently, she had written an entire love letter on the back of the heart for her boyfriend. But, unfortunately, the back was completely covered in red paint.
“You can see that he painted over my love letter. But that’s where my signature was,” Kaylee continued while showing off the heart.
The best part is that she actually purchased the gift. Her plan was to fix it up and, hopefully, unveil the letter written on the back.
“Because I want to know what sixteen-year-old romantic stupid Kaylee wrote to her stupid high school boyfriend,” Kaylee explained.

So, she began by first spraying down the paint and letting it soak before wiping it up. Next, she tried scraping the paint and was slowly able to reveal the love letter.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I have cracked the code,” Kaylee announced before reading her decade-old message.
“I honestly cannot believe that it’s only been a couple of weeks,” the love letter began. “The memories we’ve made, the mornings we’ve shared, and the love I’ve gained are priceless.”
“I really don’t know what you see in me; I don’t know why you care. But I am just so glad you found something you find worthwhile in me.”
“And I am so glad and thankful that I can call you mine. I hope we have one thousand anniversaries after this.”
“I hope that this is the end of my old life and the start of my new one. I love you more than words could ever say, and I hope that will never change.”
“You are my beacon of salvation, the stars in my night sky, and my best friend. I love you,” the note finished.
The TikTok community absolutely loved this rollercoaster of discovery, sappiness, and slight cringyness. Her TikTok reached a whopping 10.4 million people, gained 2.1 million likes, and spurred over ten thousand comments.
“GIRL A COUPLE WEEKS?!” one user commented.
“I was cringing through the entire thing, but the BEACON OF SALVATION TOOK ME OUT!” another user wrote.
“Listening to that makes me glad I’m not a teenager anymore,” joked a third.
