A 27-year-old woman had her wedding a month ago, and her big day did not go as planned at all. The wedding dress that she picked out to wear actually belonged to her mom, who sadly passed away 2 years ago now.

Her mom’s dress was this gorgeous, very long, lace-covered dress that she was so excited to get to wear for her own wedding.

The dress had a ton of sentimental value for her, and so she did her best to protect the dress from being ruined.

She even had a whole plan of what she was going to do on the day of her wedding to ensure the dress stayed in pristine condition.

She intended to wear her mom’s wedding dress for the ceremony, and she bought a second dress that she was going to change into for the reception.

“When I was wearing the dress, I wouldn’t eat or drink anything except water, and I would stay inside at all times,” she said about her game plan for her wedding day.

“I promise I’m not usually this crazy about cleanliness, but this was my mom’s dress, and the thought of it being damaged broke my heart.”

“But I also knew I wanted to wear it when I got married to have a piece of her with me. She adored this dress and always dreamed I would wear it.”

Every single woman that she included as a bridesmaid was aware of how scared she was to ruin or compromise her mom’s wedding dress.

On the day of her wedding, she got her mom’s wedding dress to the venue and into a room that was specially reserved for her and her bridal party to get ready in.

Right before she was supposed to get the dress on, she had to go weigh in on something regarding her wedding with the venue, so she walked out of the room, leaving her whole bridal party alone with the dress, which was in what she thought was a “safe place.”

Her bridesmaids were excited to celebrate her wedding, so they decided to open up a bottle of her favorite red wine, and they each poured it into wine glasses.

From there, her bridesmaids walked around the room they were getting ready in, carrying their wine along with them.

Her 27-year-old bridesmaid named Anna was really interested in getting an up-close look at the wedding dress, and as she was checking it out, there was an accident.

“She got really close to it, and she started touching the lace,” she explained. “Somehow, her hand holding the wine glass slipped, and wine spilled all over the bottom of the dress.”

“When I came upstairs, they told me what happened, and I started sobbing. My maid of honor called several professional cleaners, and they said there was no way they could get the dress in before the wedding.”

“They told us ways to save the dress until we could get it into them, so my MOH started doing that.”

When the phone call to the cleaners was over, she stopped being sad and started seething instead.

She called Anna out for checking out the dress with the wine so close to it in the first place, and she reminded Anna that every single person was aware of how hard she was trying to protect the dress from any damage.

Anna acted pretty dismissive in response to this, maintaining that it was not a “big deal” since the dress probably would have ended up ruined in some way from simply wearing it during the ceremony.

She was floored that Anna replied in the way that she did, so she accused any of being irresponsible before kicking Anna out of the bridal party.

Anna did end up leaving just hours before the wedding was supposed to start, and she nor Anna have spoken after that.

“I got married in the dress I had planned to wear for the reception, and I was heartbroken not to be wearing my mom’s dress,” she continued.

“After the wedding, my bridesmaids joked that I was a bridezilla for kicking “Anna” out after she made an “honest mistake.”

She does not agree with the rest of her bridesmaids believing that she’s a bridezilla, and she feels that she handled things the right way since Anna didn’t seem remorseful at all.

Even though she wouldn’t change a thing, she’s left wondering if other people would have handled things in the same way.

Would you have kicked Anna out of your bridal party too for spilling red wine on such a special dress?
