He Cheated On His Ex-Wife, And She’s Upset That He Treats His New Wife Better Than He Ever Treated Her

This man cheated on his now ex-wife, and he willingly admits that he is ashamed of his actions.
He acknowledged that he messed up, and he tried to work things out with his ex-wife. He pleaded with her for a second chance, but she filed for divorce.
For a while after the divorce, he was devastated.
“I decided to go backpacking to Europe, which changed everything for me. I decided to build back my life. I quit drinking, got into a healthy lifestyle, fixed my finances, and got into healthy hobbies,” he said.
After making vast changes in his life, he met his current wife. He admires that she’s sweet and caring and that she enjoys a lot of physical closeness. Not long into their relationship, he knew that he wanted to be with her long-term.
Since he’s been with her, he makes an effort to do fun things together that they will remember for years to come.
“We go on vacations, we go hiking, we go to concerts, we do pottery together,” he explained.
Unfortunately, his ex-wife isn’t thrilled about this. He and his wife have split custody of their children, and his children adore his wife, which his wife is irritated about.
Apparently, his ex-wife is angry that he takes trips with his current wife but never while they were married.

“I told her if she had forgiven me and taken me back, I would have done everything for her and more (which is true; I meant it when I said I would do anything). She didn’t like it and said I should have done it before,” he shared.
Also, his ex-wife is uncomfortable with the fact that his current wife is 11 years younger than him. Numerous times, she attempted to start arguments with him about this, but he shut down her complaints, telling her that since she was the one who brought their divorce to fruition, it shouldn’t matter to her who he was with now.
From his perspective, he is more attentive to his marriage with his current wife because he reflected on his past and has strived to improve and change.
Deep down, he believes that his infidelity is what led to him being a better partner. He also feels like being unfaithful was a positive thing because if he hadn’t cheated on his ex-wife, he never would have met his current wife.
When he compares the two, he believes that his current wife is a vast improvement from his ex-wife in every single aspect.
His wife puts in effort to get in the best physical shape, whereas his ex-wife whined about gaining weight without taking action to change it.
Plus, his wife loves showing him affection, and now that he’s experienced this, he didn’t realize that he’d always craved it but never had it in his previous marriage.
In his eyes, it’s just rational that because of all this, he cares for his current wife more than he did his ex-wife while they were married.
He appreciates his wife, and his life is more enjoyable with her. He loves hanging out with her, and they always have a blast together. Sadly, he never had this experience with his ex-wife.
Later, on the phone, he explained to his ex that he had made peace with his past mistakes and he’d let it go.
She said that he was a jerk and that it wasn’t him who should decide whether or not he was forgiven for cheating. He didn’t respond and hung up.
After their argument, his ex-wife has been sending him horrible text messages, but he hasn’t responded to any of them.
Do you think he’s wrong for treating his current wife better than his ex-wife?
