His Girlfriend Went To A Wedding And Shared A Hotel Room With A Guy, And They Broke Up Over It
Over the weekend, this 25-year-old guy’s 24-year-old girlfriend attended a wedding with her friend Sarah.
This wedding was for a friend of his girlfriend’s that she went to college with. His girlfriend and her friend Sarah left on Friday for the wedding, and they were supposed to be sharing a hotel room since everything was sold out for the weekend.
Before the girls left for the wedding, they said that Sarah was really hoping to run into a guy they had gone to college with named Michael.
Sarah had always had a serious crush on Michael, and Sarah was hoping they would maybe hit it off at the wedding.
While the wedding was happening, he texted his girlfriend to check in on her, and she mentioned that Sarah saw Michael there and they had really hit it off.
Eventually, Sarah and Michael disappeared, leaving his girlfriend alone at the wedding. His girlfriend said she was fine and that she was hanging out with a guy named Ryan.
He tried not to text his girlfriend too much since he knew she was catching up with college friends and having a good time, and the last text she sent him was at 10:50 in the evening.
The morning after the wedding, he asked his girlfriend how she was feeling, and she told him that she had shared a hotel room with Ryan since he was supposed to have shared a room with Michael, but Michael and Sarah went back to that hotel room together.
“I know she didn’t have to volunteer that information, and so I know she’s being honest, but I must admit it took me by surprise, and I had to resist asking a lot of follow-up questions, instead trying to change the subject to Sarah and how she must be happy,” he explained.

“But the whole thing isn’t sitting well with me; she feels off on her texts, plus the timing is weird to me, too, as she’s usually texting me a lot if we are apart. Obviously, she could be hung over and tired, so I might be letting my thoughts go to bad areas unnecessarily.”
“So now I feel a bit uneasy, I don’t know if I’m overreacting or underreacting. I don’t know if I should ask more questions about sleeping arrangements or why he couldn’t stay in another room.”
He waited until his girlfriend arrived back home to address the fact that she shared a hotel room with Ryan. As soon as he brought up the topic, she instantly got extremely defensive. After her asked three questions, his girlfriend flipped out on him and accused him of not trusting her.
This was a big red flag to him, as he was just trying to piece together if anything happened in the room.
He attempted to calm his girlfriend down by saying he felt disrespected regardless if she did anything with Ryan or not, but she refused to listen and simply said Sarah would back up her version of the events. This came across as strange to him since Sarah allegedly wasn’t in that hotel room all evening, so Sarah couldn’t possibly have witnessed what happened.
“Anyway, she stormed out, probably to her parents,” he said. “So no closure fully but I’d say it’s over, like I don’t know for sure, but I am pretty sure this is a 2+2=4 situation. Don’t even feel that angry, just more numb.”
