She Got Accused of Being A Gold Digger After Admitting To Her Husband How She’d Rather Not Have A Spouse If She Somehow Became A Millionaire

This 23-year-old woman and her husband, 26, were coming home after spending a nice day together.
Since she works a lot, they don’t usually have enough time to go out on dates. On the way home, her husband joked that she should become a millionaire so that she didn’t have to work anymore, and that way, they could hang out a lot more often.
She thought it was endearing that her husband emphasized that he wanted to spend more time with her.
She told her husband that she loves how much he values her, and she’s glad that he knows she’s been striving to leave the corporate world eventually.
But she asked him why she had to be one to become a millionaire. She suggested that they both become millionaires so that when she’s exhausted, he could care for her.
“He says, ‘No, I much prefer that you be the millionaire,'” she said.
Then, she told her husband that if she was that rich, she wouldn’t want to have a spouse. Instead, she’d bask in the quiet and not have to worry about anyone asking her to do anything or criticizing her.
“He says, ‘Wow! So, you’re a gold digger. You’re just with me to use me,'” she explained.
Understandably, this offended her. She pointed out that she provided her husband with a place to live, and they had broken up and gotten back together numerous times throughout their relationship. Each time, her husband would plead for him to take her back.

After reminding him of their history, she asked him if it would be more accurate to call him the “gold digger” since she takes care of all his necessities, and he doesn’t seem grateful for any of it.
In response, her husband told her that he’d never asked her to pay any of his bills or purchase anything for him, and if he ever did, he always made it clear that he would pay her back the money.
At this, she laughed hysterically and walked away, knowing that she was right.
Over the years, her husband has repeatedly asked her if she could pay for his bills, and she has paid for things for him at his request.
“There have even been instances where he would tell me blankly, ‘You’re paying for me, right? Because you have to,’ or, ‘I believe everything should be 50/50,'” she shared.
“Wouldn’t 50/50 be we both help each other? Yet he has never helped me in anything.”
While she has a job, her husband doesn’t. And even though she doesn’t want anything from him “other than peace,” she acknowledges that he has never financially supported her. Plus, she doesn’t feel like he has been there for her emotionally, either.
Her husband had been living with his mother prior to moving into her house, and she is the only one paying any of the bills.
While she works, her husband plays video games all day long instead of researching land so that they can build a home like they’ve dreamed about.
Even when she tries asking her husband to take the garbage out, he whines and fights with her about it.
Upon reflection, she doesn’t think she was out of line for her honesty when she told her husband that if she became a millionaire, she’d want to live on her own.
Do you think she was out of line?
