However, these claims were deemed false by police and were not sustained. The men were not charged with anything involving Janet’s case, and they have both died in prison since making those claims.
Tragically, Janet’s investigation has remained at a standstill over 40 years later.
At the time of Janet’s disappearance, she was five foot one, weighed 115 pounds, and had brown hair and green eyes. She would be 85 years old today.
