She Left Her Husband At Home And Went To Her Birthday Dinner Without Him Since He Wasn’t Ready On Time

Recently, this 40-year-old woman celebrated her birthday, and she made a reservation at a nice restaurant for 7 p.m.
The restaurant is located 20 minutes from her house, so she knew she had to leave by 6:30 so she would have enough time to pick up her dad and battle a bit of traffic.
At 6 p.m. that night, her 43-year-old husband wanted to work on his car, and he knew what time they needed to leave to make it to her birthday dinner on time.
Then 6:30 rolled around, and she and her kids were waiting by their front door, ready to head over to the restaurant.
Her husband was still working on his car and made no effort to finish up and get ready.
“He hadn’t changed and hadn’t showered,” she explained. “I told him to quickly get ready, but it got to 6:50, and he still wasn’t ready yet, so I decided to just leave without him.”
“He has a habit of always running late when we go out, and he is always the last one to be ready. Normally, I can tolerate it since it only sets things back by ten minutes at the most, but my birthday dinner was important to me, and I had been looking forward to it for weeks.”
She shouted at her husband that she was leaving with the kids, and then she left without him. She was worried about losing her reservation since she was already on track to be 20 minutes behind her reservation time.
She was able to call the restaurant and inform them of her arrival time, and they thankfully were able to hold her table.

However, when she got to the restaurant, her husband was nowhere in sight. As the evening wore on, her husband failed to show up at all. Later on, when she got home with their kids, her husband was clearly furious with her.
“I told him that I was tired of him not respecting my time and always making people wait for him and that he could have made his own way to the restaurant,” she said.
“My father agreed with my decision to leave without him, but my kids were a little upset that he wasn’t there to have dinner with us.”
She’s left wondering if it was mean of her to leave her husband at home when he wasn’t ready on time for her birthday dinner.
