Her Husband Messed Up Everything On Their First Wedding Anniversary, Making Her Feel Like He Doesn’t Even Know Her Or Care About Her Preferences

This 25-year-old woman and her husband, who is 29, have been married for a year now.
But, while she loves her husband a lot, his actions on their first anniversary – which occurred last Saturday – have left her feeling like he doesn’t even know her or care about her.
The issue actually began the day before their anniversary, on Friday, when her husband woke up and wished her a happy anniversary. In the beginning, she thought he was just joking before she realized that he’d actually just gotten their wedding date wrong.
“I was like, ‘You’re a day early, lol,’ and we laughed it off. But now, looking back, this really upsets me,” she detailed.
Then, on Saturday – their actual anniversary – she was forced to work because she’s a nurse. Despite that, she still woke up early to cook him breakfast and leave him a sweet note.
Later, once her husband woke up, he sent her a text saying, “Now happy anniversary.”
Anyway, after her shift ended, she rushed home to see her husband and found out he’d bought her flowers. She thought they were pretty and thanked him, yet what he said next shocked her.
Apparently, he claimed that the flowers were the same as the ones they had at their wedding.
“I looked at them, and they simply… were not. I racked my brain for my bouquet, the bridesmaid’s bouquets, the table centerpieces, everything… but no,” she explained.

“I have no idea where he got that idea, but again, I just brushed it off and said thank you because they were beautiful flowers regardless.”
Still, their anniversary night only continued to go downhill from there. Next, her husband told her that he’d bought her another ring to add to her wedding and engagement ring set – which was what she wanted.
Again, she thought the ring was beautiful. The only problem? It was gold, and she only wears silver jewelry. Plus, her two other rings are already silver with diamonds.
At this point, she figured her husband just wasn’t being observant. However, the fact he couldn’t remember still bothered her – especially because he bought the other two silver wedding rings.
“Of course, I won’t complain and will, of course, wear it because it’s beautiful, but like… I feel like he could’ve looked?” she admitted.
“I got him a watch he has been looking at for weeks, and I knew exactly what he wanted.”
Well, one more incident that night finally pushed her over the edge. For their anniversary dinner, her husband picked out a restaurant they’d never been to before.
She had total trust in him to pick out the restaurant, too. But that was until she sat down at their table, looked at the menu, and realized there were absolutely no meal options without meat – and she’s a vegetarian.
This immediately made her really upset, and she was shocked that her husband didn’t even check the menu offerings beforehand to ensure she could be accommodated.
“I’ve been a vegetarian for 10 years. I haven’t eaten meat, not even a cheat snack, in 9 years. He knows this, and he couldn’t even look,” she vented.
So, at dinner that night, she just ordered the spaghetti with no meatballs or meat sauce – getting the pasta with pesto instead. Her husband didn’t seem to care, either.
Later, when she got home, she just went to take a shower and wound up crying. Her husband’s lack of attentiveness and care on their anniversary just made her feel so “unseen.”
Nonetheless, in the wake of everything that happened, she’s not sure if her feelings are valid or if she’s acting like a “brat.”
How would you feel if your spouse completely forgot about all of this stuff? Would you also feel unseen? What should she do?
