How would you feel if you got remarried to your former spouse, they insisted they wanted to have a baby with you, and then they dumped you to chase after a coworker?

This 37-year-old woman’s relationship with her soon-to-be ex-husband, 33-year-old Larry, has been a total rollercoaster ride. They first got married back in 2012, and they remained married and had a child together until Larry dumped her in 2020 while he was overseas on deployment.

But in 2023, Larry came crawling back to her and returned to the town they live in now. They remarried in 2024, and last summer, they discussed having a second child, which Larry said he wanted.

She got pregnant in October, and suddenly, their marriage deteriorated all over again.

Larry pulled away from her, and he used to come home during his midday break, but instead, he stayed at work. Next, he changed up his deodorant and body wash and picked more masculine scents.

He then dyed his hair and got an ear piercing. She finally figured out that he was most likely seeing someone else when he started telling her about his female coworker, whom he increasingly spent time with outside of the office.

“A few days before Christmas, I confronted him about how he’s been acting. He then stated he wanted a divorce but was planning on waiting until after the holiday (oh, yay for us),” she explained.

“He said he’s been wanting one for a while and just didn’t because of our kid. Then he goes on to say that he didn’t love me the way he did the first time we got married, even when we got back together, and only got back together for our kid. And as if he hadn’t hurt me enough decided to add on that he hasn’t loved me since 2017.”

“Of course, I asked him why he didn’t say something before we PLANNED to get pregnant. He said he thought it would make me happy. Like it was some gift to me to be twice over a single mom. Now he claims he didn’t cheat.”

While she doesn’t have concrete evidence pointing to an affair, given how Larry’s been behaving, she’s convinced he at least emotionally cheated on her with his coworker.

She and Larry are not officially divorced, yet he’s been dating that very coworker. Apparently, he’s going to be moving in with this woman and her two children in the near future.

Circling back to the fact that she’s still pregnant with their second child, she got to pick the name of their firstborn, and the deal was that Larry got to pick the name of their second baby.

However, they agreed that she could override Larry’s baby name decision if he landed on a truly awful name.

“The name he came up with isn’t terrible, but it was chosen before he told me he wanted a divorce, and [it] isn’t one I would have chosen myself,” she continued.

“Everyone and I mean everyone tells me I should change the name since I’ll be the primary parent anyway (like I was the first time we got divorced), and he didn’t show any interest outside himself to spend time with or even call our kid while he was away, which, FYI, he was back in the states for 2 years before he came back to where we lived.”

“I feel he will be the same, so it’ll basically be me as the only parent again. So would I be the [jerk] for changing the name to something I like, like everyone has been telling me I should?”

I can’t even handle Larry’s audacity in framing this second baby as some kind of a gift to her. Larry is just a trash bag human being, so no, I don’t think she would be wrong to rename the baby, since it’s looking like Larry isn’t going to be in their life anyway.

Pretty sure the odds are in her favor for Larry to come crawling back to her when things don’t work out with his coworker, and she should definitely not take him back in the future.
