A woman named Alicia Seymour (@artful_grieving on TikTok) is opening up about how her dad was a serial killer when he was younger, and she’s on a mission to find his victims and their families, considering he was never caught.
Alicia’s dad is currently dying, which has inspired her to try to piece together what he did. Her dad’s name is Luther Akin, and he worked as a long-haul trucker from the late 1980s until approximately 2018, but he wasn’t always on the road throughout that time.
Luther drove all across America from the West Coast to the East Coast and racked up one million miles while doing this as a career.
Luther was intimidating in stature, standing at 6’4″, and many people called him Lucy as a nickname, short for Lucifer, since he had a reputation for being so evil.
“His victims would have looked like me. Petite women, usually blondes, people he could easily overpower, control. He would use pictures of me in his truck to make the women feel safe and comfortable,” Alicia explained in her video.
“In some of the instances, I don’t believe in all, but in some, he would say things like, ‘Oh yeah, this is my daughter, see, she looks just like you, you guys could be sisters.'”
“That turned into years of telling me I had sisters all over the country before admitting sisters were his way of saying, victims.”
Alicia detailed that many of her father’s victims he picked up off the side of the road or found at truck stops. Often, Luther would pick women up in one state and then drop them off in a different one.
They were all young, mainly in their teens or early 20s. If he did happen to prey on someone in their 30s, they would have appeared far younger than they were.

Luther’s victims were also short and very thin, as that was his type and what he preferred. Luther strangled or stabbed his victims. Their deaths could also have been caused by blunt force trauma. He was not into dismemberment.
“I think that, conservative estimate, is probably around 30. I could be wrong. Could be a little less, could be a little more. But that’s what I’m looking for,” Alicia continued.
“I’m looking for victims who were last seen at truck stops…side of the road. Those kinds of things. So, if you guys know any cases like that, please let me know.”
Alicia’s dad was the opposite of a perfect father to her. He was truly awful, and the only reason she is still in contact with him is so that she can try to find all of his victims and bring their loved ones peace.
