Home security cameras are supposed to catch intruders and package thieves. Nobody installs them expecting to watch a close friend doing something super strange in secret.
She trusted her friend enough to give her access to her home, her baby, and her life, and the footage she got back raises questions that don’t have a comfortable answer.
What are you supposed to do when you catch a friend in a bizarre act in your home when they don’t know they’re being recorded?
This 25-year-old woman has a 2-year-old and works from home alone since her husband has to go to the office. For those reasons, she’s installed multiple cameras around her house to feel safer, which makes a lot of sense.
Often, her friends come over to her house to play with her baby and hang out when she’s home alone. She does have a nanny camera in her bedroom, and she recently looked through the footage for some reason and caught her friend doing something pretty strange.
“I saw my friend/colleague, someone I’ve been close with for months, in our bedroom obsessively smelling, hugging, and kissing my husband’s used clothes that were lying on the bed,” she explained.
“She had his shirt pressed tightly to her face, was hugging it like she never wanted to let go, and kept kissing it repeatedly. It looked extremely intimate and affectionate, like she was completely lost in him and treating the clothes as a full-on substitute for my husband.”
Not only is she confused about how to handle what happened, but she’s also left feeling wildly insecure about the possibility that her friend is cheating on her with her husband.
Otherwise, she’s not sure why this girl would be in her bedroom making out with her husband’s dirty clothes.

Well, if they’re not cheating, I think it’s pretty obvious that her friend is in love with her husband or pining after him, not thta it makes it any better.
What her friend did behond closed doors is totally creepy, though, and she should stop being friends with her or inviting her into her home.
But first, she should show the video footage to her friend and husband separately and ask them both to fill her in on what’s going on.
It very well could be a weird case of unrequited love on her friend’s behalf, and her husband’s reaction to the footage should be a telling clue as to whether or not he’s innocent in all of this…or if they are having an affair.
