Another day, another set of new unextraodinary digital audio players show up. The first is Philips’s GoGear 1GB SA1110 (left) which has a back-lit LCD Display, plays Mp3 & WMA files, has voice recording capabilities, 4 equalizer presets, and it runs off of an AAA battery. It’s more attractive sibling, the 1gig GoGear SA13335 has similar features except that it also has an FM tuner, a built-in rechargable battery, and it also supports PlaysForSure services such as Napster and Urge. But most impressive of all is it’s shiny and elegant mirror surface with its 2 color OLED display that displays a clock screen saver.
We don’t get you Philips. You have some decent flash music players here, well the SA13335 is kinda hot, but if we hadn’t visited your web site, we would have never known they existed. Depite it’s lack of a display, the iPod Shuffle was a hit, all because of the power of great PR. Take some cues!
