When you’re working out, there could be no better incentive to keep on going than to be able to see how many calories you are burning away as you exercise. Garmin has a new watch/gadget for the sporty types amongst you that let you literally watch the calories burn away as you work out. The new Forerunner 310XT tracks speed, distance and location, and also features heart rate-based calorie computation. The 310XT also offers a 20 hour battery life, it sports a large display and is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters. Additionally, the 310XT uses ANT+ tech that wirelessly sends workout data to a PC or Mac so that users can log their workouts, track their totals, set goals, and share their workouts with others. The device can also be easily bike mounted by detaching its straps. It will be available in summer 2009.
