Competition for the Philips Wake-up light Heats Up with Verilux Products
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – but this is getting a bit much. We know about the Oregon Scientific i.Wakeup Sunrise which aims to compete and even borrows some design cues from the Philips Wake-Up Light. But now there is the Verilux Rise & Shine Natural Wake-Up Light. It also aims to do the same thing by gently waking you up and it plays soundscapes to ease your mind into or out of sleep. However the design of it doesn’t really encourage me to want to have it out…Then there is the HappyLight Deluxe Sunshine Supplement Light System that activates natural mood enhancers via 10,000 LUX of Natural Spectrum Light. However there is no sound function, and it certainly lacks the polish of the Philips GoLITE Blu Energy series of light therapy items. If you have the dough to make yourself ‘Happy’ Each of these cost $99.95 and $189.95 respectively.
