The color e-reader / cheap tablet war is heating up. Hot on the heels of the NookColor announcement, E FUN has introduced their Nextbook Next2 tablet. This “e-reader” runs on Android and sports a 7″ TFT color display with an 800×480 resolution, 2GB of memory with an SD slot, wifi, an MP3/photo viewer, access to Borders BookStore, and app support.     “Cheap” is the operative word. Android 1.5 (say what???) slow as molasses. Terrible cstomer support. Back it goes.

    I can’t seem to find where to purchase a Nextbook 7″ Tablet. I know HSN was selling them, but they have sold out. If anyone knows where I can purchase one, please let me know.

    Don’t bother, mine never came back on when I shut it off, it’s definitely going back.

    Love it have not had any of the other issues that these people have had ,
    After setting up the wifi I was on goolge videos , my email , and then borders .
    but for borders you do have to register with adobe 1st, which was strange.
    The only draw back that I have found was that it is not flash enabled.
    But I have found lots of videos and music on it , but some of the games like on yahoo games
    do not work , . I paid 149 for mine and got every penny back ,better than carrying a lap top all over the place , very good for books and email/ web surfing .

    how do you register with adobe. i have clicked on the link that comes up when you first open borders it gives me an error sayin “make sure time zone, date, time are set properly…blah blah. Which it all is. i have an adobe id from regestering my lap top but i dont know where to go from there. please help i must admit the customer support does suck but i love my book !

    you have to register your nextbook with adobe even tho your laptop is registered with it, after both are registered with same id, you won’t have any problems re: that. memax4

    I just received this and having a hard time booting it up. I charged it overnight but all I get is a white screen. Tech support said it will automatically boot when fully charted. Surely its charged by now. anyone else have this problem?

    This is a true piece of junk, slow then would not come on at all. I don’t give up easy ,but enough is enough. It goes back to you get what you pay for and these people that sell this on HSN and thru their company should be ashamed

    got my nextbook about a month ago after registering both my lap top and my next book with adobe1 and setting up my wi-fi everything works GREAT! LOVE IT. will be down loading music and movies soon. Way better than the ipod, easy to carry around with a 7” screen and affordable.

    you must hold the button at the bottom for a few seconds to turn it on. i dont find that its slow at all. But maybe you got a bad one, return for a new one, im sure you’ll love it.

    Ha, nookcolor alternative. The specs are no where near the same.
    Nookcolor has better specs, so apples to oranges my friend.

    i’m getting the next 3 from hsn and it seem all their next book products are crap and yes you can get tech support and then you might have and eaisier time with it but their is sme serioussssss glitchs it a trial and error type of thing with theis devices word from the wise don not i repeat DO NOT purchase unless you are reallyyyyy pactent

    LOVE IT!! No problems so far – and comparing it to the Gentouch that I also have all I can say is I am VERY VERY pleased. Nextbook is for fun – Gentouch is for business and it’s freeing me of TWO briefcases full of stuff. I couldn’t be happier!

    I ordered my from HSN but can no longer find it on their website. We had the same experience as other folks in that ours did not come back on after I shut it off. I will NEVER NEVER buy any others electronics from HSN!!

    I feel that the Nextbook is a cheap alternative to the Ipad but I have had difficulty with the Nextbook freezing up. We (my wife) and I bought 2 of them and she is returning her book back to HSN. I am on the verge of returning my book also. I would rate the Nextbook a 2 out of 5,

    Wow, disappointed to see the reviews below. I thought this sounded like a pretty nifty gadget–my sister in law has one and hasn’t had any problems…guess I’ll take a wait and see. Maybe some upgrades to the firmware and waiting for the next generation is the way to go for me.

    Seems like I am not the only one having problem. It is so slow even after I transfer all the book on memory stick thunking it will be faster. I spend more times re-setting than enjoying it.

    It won’t let me register the Adobe reader….I have to go to a location where there is free wi-fi…could that be the problem?

    the nextbook2 is a piece of junk. it worked for about 30 days and then i started having problems. i couldn’t get on line. it would freeze up. TERRIBLE customer service. i got for a gift from my wife. she was duped by hsn. i told her to return it. it’s after 30 days and there is no return. duhh, isn’t that interesting it lasts long enough so you can’t return it. She did get some service protection and it will be returned. DO NOT BUY A NEXTBOOK! THEY ARE A PIECE OF JUNK.

    Mine kept freezing up and i would have to reboot every 2 minutes and then it took twice to getting it back up and running. Called customer support and they said that it was what it was suppose to do and it was normal. I sent it back to HSN.

    Did you charge if the full specified charge time? If not, you will need to do so. Additionally, on the back is a reset button. Reset the device, charge for the specified amount of time. This will eliminate the “power” on and any freezing that may be experienced. Hope this works!

    Charge while it is on. Reset the device (back) and then try charging again. Hold the power button for a count of 7. Screen should activate within this time frame. Hope this helps!

    I have asked this so many times with no answer. Can someone please tell me, can I use web stick with nextbook? It’s a usb stick for tmoble called the web connect stick so that you can surf the net anywhere you can use tmobile service. Thanks in advance. Bre

    Ugh!!! I hate that…mine does this all the time and I wish I could return it but my hubby purchased well before the 30 days was up as a christmas gift and I hate it!!!

    That is not true…I thought that was the problem initially but even after I reset it powered it all the way up the only way it would power on is if I stuck something in the usb slot or power slot and then it would pop on fully powered…just the worst!

    don’t know how to install music it won’t down load
    itunes, and it won’t down load adobe player to use on HULU
