1The new HP Pavilion dm1 is all about getting the performance of a regular laptop, but in the body of an ultraportable, and with the price tag you’d expect to see on a netbook. The dm1 accomplishes this by running on the new AMD powered Fusion APU with Vision Technology. That means that despite its affordable pricing, which begins at $449.99, the HP dm1 is able to playback smooth 1080p video on its 11.6″ HD Brightview display. The system also sports a full-size island-style keyboard, Dolby advanced audio, HP CoolSense technology, 10.75 hours of battery life, up-to 750GB of storage and an optional GPS and external Blu-ray player. The dm1 goes on sale on the 9th.
