VEVO Makes its Way to Windows Phone 7
VEVO, the streaming music video site operated by Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Abu Dhabi Media, is bringing their increasingly popular service to Windows 7 phones in the free VEVO app, available now from AppsFuze. VEVO came in second recently in unique viewers and viewing sessions for all video streaming websites (second to YouTube), with 63 million unique viewers and 400 million viewing sessions. The site boasts a catalog of upwards of 25,000 music videos from all major record labels except Warner Music Group. Of course, you can set up playlists and save your favorites, but you also have access to VEVO exclusive music videos. The app will also send you push notifications of music video premieres and live streaming concerts. It’s like old-school MTV, but mobile! That means ads before each video, too, but when an app is free, that’s something you come to expect. If you need your Bieber or Rihanna fix on the go, and you’re part of the Windows 7 phone crowd, rejoice! The VEVO app has finally made its way to you.
