Epson Small-in-One Printer is Designed for Tight Spaces
Running out of desk space? You might want to take a look at the Epson Small-in-One (so clever!) XP-400. The printer measures 390 mm x 300 mm x 145 mm, and is capable of cloud printing as well as printing from computers.
The pint-sized printer could be the only one you need in your home, because the XP-400 can connect to a home Wi-Fi network and features Epson Connect, which allows for printing directly from smartphone or tablets. The all-in-one (printer, scanner, copier) also works with AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. The XP-400 will also have a unique email address. Using Email Print, you can email documents and photos to the printer remotely and have them printed out.
The XP-400 also has an SD card slot, and can hook up directly to a camera. Using the 2.5” LCD screen, you can do some basic photo editing like red-eye removal and exposure correction before printing. Those photos can be printed borderless directly from the SD card or camera, without getting your computer involved.
Four different color cartridges are available, so in theory you can just replace the color you need. It’s unclear whether or not those individual color cartridges will be cheaper than normal color cartridges.
The Epson XP-400 is selling now for about $100.
