Dhingana touts itself as the Indian answer to Spotify, but there’s one big difference – Dhingana is totally free. Once you download the app, you’ll have access to over 350,000 songs from Indian artists. Like any other Internet radio app, you can like, dislike, and favorite songs, and create playlists. You can also use the app to create smart playlists that will adapt themselves to your tastes, the more you listen and like (or dislike).
You will be able to run Dhingana in the background, and there are integrated Facebook sharing features, if you want to try your hand at being a tastemaker. Otherwise, you can browse songs on the site by how many likes or favorites they have, if you want to zero in on what’s most popular.
Dhingana is available for free, and is currently available for Android and iOS devices.
