I don’t know how important Netflix is going to be for most of this month, but I know it’s going to be invaluable when you can’t move for four straight days because of Thanksgiving (Black Friday shopping to the side, we’ve got computers for that). Here’s what we’re looking forward to when we join you in ultra-binge mode — and as always, we’ve got the full list of what’s new on Netflix in November at the end.
The Punisher – November 17
Frank Castle becomes the fifth Marvel character to get his own Netflix series, but I don’t think he’ll be joining the Defenders anytime soon — it seems more and more like The Punisher will stand alone from the quartet of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil. There’s at least one connection, with Deborah Ann Woll continuing her role as Karen Page from the second season of Daredevil, but otherwise we’re not expecting much in the way of future crossovers.
Broadchurch: Series 3 – November 27
The third and final series of this British murder mystery is coming in from across the pond. It’s good, and it stars David Tennant, but more importantly it gives you a chance to check out the acting skills of the incoming Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker, before her debut as the Doctor in this year’s Christmas special.
