The Nutcracker has been a holiday tradition ever since the ballet debuted in 1892. Well, that was a long time ago! Brooklyn Ballet thinks it’s time to shake up the old standard a little, and they’re using a little bit of tech to help do it.
The Brooklyn Nutcracker is going into its second year of production at the Brooklyn Ballet after last year’s premiere run played to packed houses. If you’re in New York and didn’t get a chance to check it out last year, you might want to now — if you think watching The Nutcracker is a guaranteed bore, the Brooklyn version has a few arguments that will change your mind!
