Disney Restored Cinderella & People Are Not Happy About It

Disney has become pretty well known for taking their old animated films and restoring them in recent years.

It’s a pretty painstaking and lengthy process to go through, and quite frequently the end result is a film that has different details and colors than the original.

Disney recently restored Cinderella on blu-ray, and people are not happy about it.

There are quite a few Disney fans who think the VHS version we have all come to know and love over the years is simply better than the new blu-ray restoration, and here’s why.

Stephen Duignan, a professional animator, took to Twitter to share some details between the original and the updated Cinderella, and it’s definitely eye-opening to look at.

He pointed out that the lines of the original Cinderella are pretty much lost in the remake.

Another twitter user, Doug Van Zee, decided to add back in the lines similar to the original, and this is what it looks like below.

Another twitter user pointed out that the color of Cinderella’s hair is very different as well.
