So you are driving to an unknown destination, you are relying on your GPS to take you there safe and sound. But alas it doesn't, instead it takes you 30 minutes out of the way just to make a u-turn. However if I had this latest TomTom White Pearl (based on the TomTom ONE IQ Routes™ edition) Special Edition I certainly would be more at ease because it is so pretty - NOT!! It certainly helps to have an attractive looking device and being that this is a female orientated blog we do appreciate the effor - but really? I just had an experience with a TomTom GPS that ...
Belkin has two new TuneBase products that are designed so that you can make phone calls on your iPhone hands-free in the car, while still using it to play music through your car's stereo system. The TuneBase FM connects to your car stereo via FM channels and features ClearScan technology, while the TuneBase Direct connects to your car's stereo system through its aux input. Aux in is our preferred method, since you dont have to deal with crowded FM airwaves. Both devices feature push-button call pickup and a speakerphone to make conversations safe and easy while driving. The TuneBase FM (available mid-July) retails for $89.99 and the TuneBase Direct ...
There are plenty of iPod compatible car kits, but you'll be hard pressed to find a way to play music files off a USB key on your car stereo. That is where the new GROM-USB MP3 kit comes in. The kit provides a direct audio interface to a car stereo via the CD Changer port, and it even tricks the car stereo in to thinking that it has a fully featured CD changer plugged in to it. With the device, you'll be able to play MP3, WMA, and iTunes files, and you'll also be able to browse through tracks by playlists - and the kit also lets you set ...
For a majority of the corporate world, BlackBerries are used as your lifeline for everything. But after reading about Executrac, you may think twice about accepting one from your company the next time they offer you one. The Exectrac GPS Tracking software is a super sleuth type of program that can be installed on to any BlackBerry or Smartphone and it will track your productivity as well as the whereabouts of the device. This is perfect for managers looking for any excuse to cut back. The software is able to install manually to thousands of devices at once, and from there it runs in the background without ...
Find the Hilton or The W Hotel just too ordinary to stay at, well how about the 727 Fuselage Home at the Costa Verde Hotel. Inspired by a Forbes magazine article about surplus Boeing 727 airframes. This two bedroom Boeing 727 fuselage suite was refurbished from a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airplane. The airframe was salvaged and rescued and converted in to this jumbo hotel suite and indeed pimped out with hand carved furniture, a spiral stair case, flat screen TVs, private bath, and air conditioning. From the cockpit to the tail, you'll feel the essence of being in a plane but will not have to deal with any type of turbulence or lack of clean blankets.
This is certainly not a bike I would suggest riding in front of a Panda, since the Bamboo Bike consists of a frame made entirely of Bamboo. Each bike is built to order from the size of the bamboo frame to your tire size to your seat size. The Bamboo Bike is available as a regular standard bike, mountain bike, or even a tandem bike. Each one is meticulously made - the bamboo is heated and coated with polyurethane to seal it, hemp fiber is made for the lugs, and each one is crash tolerant. Being trendy and green however always comes at a price, which can ...
This is probably something Batman would ride. The Xcite Bike is the most unique looking ATV we have ever seen. However it does leave us scratching our heads about how to ride this thing. The rider places one foot inside of each wheel hub and uses a hand operated throttle and brake while steering. The Xcite Bike can top out at 30MPH or go to speeds as low as 2MPH. Some specs include a tuned aluminum exhaust with stainless steel frame, 10" aluminum wheels, and hand control for easy maneuverability. It's available in the colors: white, yellow, blue, red, and black. The Xcite Bike of course doesn't come cheap ...
The weather is getting warm, so you know what that means - more pretty and portable speakers are going to start popping up. iLuv, has announced that the iSP100 Mini Portable Stereo Speaker for iPod, iPhone 3G, 2G and MP3 Players is now available in pink, purple, silver and black. There is nothing really new here except the spring-like colors, but we'll give you the lowdown again on the iSP100's specs. Trying to not sound like some cheap tinny external speaker, the iSP100 features jAura Acoustic Speaker technology with 720° surround sound 4W Speakers, and a 3.5mm jack for unlimited connectivity. The palm size speaker comes with a carrying ...
Some GPS systems are sooo complicated, that even the hardest core geeks have a difficult time learning them. So what is a non-geek to do if they want to use a GPS nav system? They should get the GPS Navigation for Dummies System powered by Maylong. These nav systems promise to have the world's most user-friendly interface, that even a "dummy" could handle. There are several models to chose from, including the affordable FD-220 $114.99 model with a 3.6 inch screen. On the high-end they have the FD-435 which sports a 4.3" LCD screen with text to speech, a built in FM transmitter, and bluetooth for under ...
In this economy, we're happy to grab up any cool free service that we can get our hands on. So for those of you who often make international calls, you can't beat Jaxtr's new On-The-Go service. Jaxtr has already been offering free international calls for a while, however in the past you had to be tied to a computer to take advantage of their free international calling service. But now with Jaxtr's new On-The-Go service, you can make free international calls just by calling a local number. The way the service works is that you have to call a Jaxtr local number that is in your area, and then ...
There are many GPS tracker systems available for automobiles, but the LiveWire NavGenius Covert GPS Tracker is the sneakiest one ever to be made. NavGenius has been incorporated in to a standard looking in-car nav system, and it does indeed work like any ordinary GPS Nav system works - such as a TomTom or a Garmin. But aside from giving the driver directions, the NavGenius also has a double identity monitoring a driver's every move. The system even comes with 2 separate manuals - one for operating the navigation system and one for the Covert GPS tracking system. Furthermore, the NavGenius can even be remotely monitored from the internet using an online mapping system - so that you can see where they really went, not where they say they went! E-mail and SMS text messages can also be set-up to alert neurotic users of a driver speeding or of a driver going in to a "restricted" zone. Other cool features include the ability to push directions to the system remotely from a PC, so the driver can never say they don't know where to go or are lost. The Lightning GPS "NavGenius" will be available in mid-April and will be available to purchase at BrickHouse Security.
When you're working out, there could be no better incentive to keep on going than to be able to see how many calories you are burning away as you exercise. Garmin has a new watch/gadget for the sporty types amongst you that let you literally watch the calories burn away as you work out. The new Forerunner 310XT tracks speed, distance and location, and also features heart rate-based calorie computation. The 310XT also offers a 20 hour battery life, it sports a large display and is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters. Additionally, the 310XT uses ANT+ tech that wirelessly sends workout data to a PC or Mac so ...
The Spark Nano GPS Tracker from Brickhouse Security looks more like a toy than a powerful GPS Tracker. Claiming to be one of the smallest and lightweight GPS Trackers out today, it can easily slip into a pocketbook, jacket pocket, or any discreet place so you can track someone or something. The sensitivity of the device will allow for real time location updates on your computer or you can get alerts via text message or e-mail when your Spark Nano has left the building, so to speak. It works off both GPRS and GSM networks so it allows for a better area of coverage. Another nice feature is that ...
Who knew you could carry an extra set of lungs in a backpack. The Avalung System is just that. Meant for the adventurous types who may get themselves stuck in an avalanche, the Avalung Integrated backpacks provide you with literally life support. As the carbon monoxide builds up under the snow you have been trapped under, the Avalung will transform the carbon monoxide to breathable air. The apparatus through which you breathe looks like respiratory tube which could be a bit intimidating but it will save your life till rescuers show up. The Avalung II can be worn as rest without the need of a backpack. ...
Sometimes something comes around that isn't necessarily techie but is still pretty damn cool, that you just have to write about it. No this is not some latest addition to the Hello Kitty line... it's an Albino dolphin that is the color pink. This extremely rare dolphin was found around Lake Calcasieu, an inland saltwater estuary, north of the Gulf of Mexico by a boat captain. The dolphin is indeed pink from head to tail with reddish eyes. He had been seen at least 50 times in the same areas since originally spotted. It is truly a site to behold.
Well I guess this is what a child of a bicycle and a scooter would look like, if the two got together. The Pumgo Scooter is from the same creators who brought you the Pumgo Skateboard. Spotted at Toy fair this past Sunday, it was an interesting sight to behold. It seemed so obvious - why didn't someone come up with this before? On the other hand after seeing it in action for a few moments longer, it sure looked like the rider missed having a seat. Anyway, the Pumgo is perfect for those who are looking for something that acts like a bike but isn't the size of ...
Live Luggage is special luggage that features power assistance and an anti-gravity handle to make your traveling more pleasant. The anti-gravity handle puts 85% of the weight over the wheels. This special luggage also features a Live Locator ID which helps you locate your luggage if you should ever lose it. But honestly, the first Live Luggage model's design was not the best. Their new Hybrid PA Bag however has all the advantages of Live Luggage's power assistance and anti-gravity handle, but this one has a soft top and has been designed specifically to be especially lightweight - not to mention that it's also more attractive in a sporty-looking ...

The Solar e Power is like having a portable solar panel in your pocket. It may not be as trendy or hip as the Solio but it still does the job. Connect your dying iPhone to it via USB and charge that baby right up again with the power of the sun. It will recharge other cellphones as well including rechargeable AA and AAA batteries. It will also stand on its on while it recharges, so need to hold it like a baby while it does it's thing. It doesn't seem to be available now but when it does, there will be a variety of stores to ...
Well we are currently in the ski season and if you are the adventurous type and like to go were no man has skied before, I suggest you bring along with you a Globalfix iPro 406 GPS. In many cases your cell phone will just not pick up a signal in the great outdoors, so if you get yourself in trouble you'll need one of these. Not needed is a service plan or a strong GSM signal...the Globalfix iPro 406 GPS will send a signal to a satellite and alert any neighboring emergency service personnel. Just press a button and the device will be activated to send for help ...
I'm not sure how many folks are going to be hopping back on a flight after yesterdays "Miracle on the Hudson." But if you do and you intend on looking at your iPhone for entertainment instead of out your plane window for birds, you may take a liking to the iFlyz. This little gizmo is not very hi-tech or even super sexy but it does a good job at doing something simple. If you want to relax on board and not have to hold your device as you doze off to sleep this little stand can be perched onto your pull-down table for easy steady viewing. You won't ...
