Red lips are a completely classic look that everyone can pull off. Although it’s kind of cliché, I seriously love a red lip on Valentine’s Day.
I’m also at the point in my life where if I put any kind of color on my lips, I want it to last through eating, drinking, and kissing, without having to painstakingly re-apply it.
If you don’t want your lipstick coming off on your glass or your date, I have you covered!
These amazing long-lasting red lipsticks are all under $19 and can easily be ordered online and make it in time to help you have a great night on February 14th.
Get ready to perfect your pout and find out which one I’m going to be wearing!
Rimmel Provocalips 16hr Kissproof Lipstick
Alright, the first lipstick on the list is Rimmel Provocalips 16hr Kissproof Lipstick.
If you want an exceptionally affordable drugstore pick that can really hold its own against designer brands, this is it!
Kiss Me You Fool is my favorite red in the lineup, but all of the colors are really lovely.
It’s also pretty fool-proof to apply; you put the colored layer on first, let your lips dry for about 60 seconds without touching them together, and then add on the topcoat.
I find this does stay through kissing, eating, and drinking, without making your lips feel dry.
If you do feel like you need an extra hit of moisture, you can just add more of the topcoat throughout your night.
I also find that the online photos are pretty spot on in regards to the color you will actually get, so don’t feel like you can’t buy this unless you see it in person.
Maybelline SuperStay 24 2-Step Liquid Lipstick
Another great drugstore option is Maybelline SuperStay 24 2-Step Liquid Lipstick.
The only catch here is you really need to follow the directions to get the best application!
Speaking of application, the actual applicator tip on this is my favorite. It makes it incredibly simple to put this on without getting it outside of your lips.
Keep It Red is my favorite color, but there are a bunch of lovely options.
This won’t get cakey on you as long as you put the color down, let it dry thoroughly, and then add the balm layer or a coat of lipgloss.
theBalm Meet Matte Hughes Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick
theBalm Meet Matte Hughes Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick is more on the lightweight side, but that doesn’t mean it has no staying power!
I find this goes on pretty evenly when you apply it and it dries very quickly as well.
It smells like vanilla mint, which is a very nice touch.
CATKIN Waterproof Rouge Matte Lipstick
This is more like your true lipstick!
My favorite shade of CATKIN X SUMMER PALACE Lipstick is CO128, and you can really get a feel for the quality in the swatches below.
It wears quite nicely for a true lipstick and I think it’s completely comparable to the lipsticks I have from Dior and YSL.
Another thing to love? The packaging it comes in is completely gorgeous!
Kuckian Matte Long Lasting Lipstick
Alright, so Kuckian Matte Long Lasting Lipstick wears like something twice the price.
Perfect is my favorite color that they offer, and to me, it’s a true, well, perfect red.
If you follow the application instructions, your lips won’t feel dry in the least.
You just need to make sure to exfoliate with a good lip scrub, put on your favorite moisturizer, and then apply this.
Kuckian’s lipsticks are cruelty-free, vegan, and come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
This is the one I’ll be wearing this Valentine’s Day!
