Her Brother Asked To Drive Her Car To Prom But This Teen Doesn’t Want Him To And Now Her Mom Thinks She’s Mean

A 16-year-old girl has a pretty big family due to the fact that her mom and dad got divorced from one another when she was 6-years-old.
Her mom then got married to her stepdad Austin when she was 10-years-old, and he came with a son named Scott who is now 18.
Her mom and Austin went on to have two more sons together, and she doesn’t think of them or Scott as anything less than her “full brothers.”
As for her dad, he has not gotten married again, but he’s super close to her mom still and he actually spends time hanging out with her stepdad Austin.
She pretty much has one big happy family, and she constantly spends time at her grandparents’ house chilling in their pool with her brothers.
Her grandparents also love her brothers, and there really hasn’t been any conflict amongst her family members until now.
“So for my 15 birthday, my granddad gave me his 2012 Camaro because he was able to get himself a Vette,” she explained.
“I was so, SO over the moon, I love that car because I remember my dad driving me to school in it.”
“I remember my dad, grandad and Scott fixing and doing things to the car when I was 12 and I actually had my first kiss in the backseat.”

The Camaro has sat inside of her dad’s garage for an entire year while she’s worked to get her license, and she got to start driving her car 7 months ago.
“I think Scott is a bit sour because I got the car and not him, I only found out a few months after I started to drive it that my stepdad offered to buy the car for Scott, but my granddad said no because he wanted it to be mine,” she said.
Scott does have his own car, but it’s not as fancy or sporty as hers. Scott’s car also has a lot of damage to it and Scott has told her he doesn’t take good care of his car at all since he dislikes it.
In a couple of months, Scott is going to prom, and he just asked her if he could drive her car on that night.
She really felt uncomfortable with Scott asking her, since he already takes bad care of his own car and she’s worried about him treating her car the same since it’s really sentimental to her.
“I want to say no and I did ask for a time to think about it but he’s now begging me, that’s just one night, that he’ll take care of it, that he loves the car and won’t do anything but I’m still not sure,” she continued.
Her stepdad, her dad, and her grandpa all think it’s perfectly alright for her to tell Scott that he can’t drive her car to prom.
Then, there’s her mom, who thinks she’s a complete jerk and totally mean for wanting to tell Scott no.
Do you think she should let Scott drive her Camaro to prom, or stick to her plan and tell him it’s not going to happen?
