She Loves Her Little Sister Like She’s Her Own, And She Doesn’t Think Her Sister Will Ever Grow Up To Understand Just How Much She Would Do For Her

This 17-year-old girl has a 5-year-old sister whom she absolutely adores and deeply cares about.

In fact, she loves her sister so much that she views her sister as her own child.

However, she would never reveal this to anyone publicly.

She does all that she can to express how much she cares about her sister, but she doesn’t think her sister would ever understand just how much she would do for her. She would willingly sacrifice anything if her sister requested her to.

The moment she met her sister at the hospital after she was born, she knew that her life had changed forever.

“I fell in love immediately. She looks identical to me when I was her age; perhaps I see a bit of myself in her,” she said.

But she hopes that her sister will be different than she was growing up. Despite that, she knows that she’ll love her sister no matter what.

Her mother works from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week, so her sister is at her place while her mother is busy.

She brings her sister to school and picks her up at the end of the day. While hanging out together, she and her sister play Minecraft or watch YouTube videos.

Since her sister was an infant, she’s always had this thought in the back of her head that her sister felt like her child. She often helped take care of her sister, changing her diapers, feeding her, and singing her to sleep.

This is an experience she never had with any of her other siblings since her other younger sister, 15, and her brother, 13, are not much younger than her. However, she still views them as young children in comparison to her.

Plus, she has two younger brothers who are 3-year-old twins, but she didn’t get the chance to emotionally connect with them in the way that she has with her sister. Because she doesn’t live with her parents, she doesn’t see her twin brothers too often.

“Sometimes, she’ll mess up and call me ‘Mom’ by accident. I know she means nothing by it, but my heart still flutters each time. If I could, I’d give her each star from the whole sky. I’d do anything for her. I love her as if she was my own. I don’t think I’ll ever stop,” she explained.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a close bond with her mother or her other sister. There is also a lot of tension between her and her father–so much so that she can’t handle being around him or hearing anyone talk about him. And even though she might not ever have much of a relationship with her twin brothers, she knows that she’ll always love her younger sister unconditionally.

For however long her sister allows her to, she will be there for her.

“And when the time inevitably comes when she grows up and lives her own life, well, I hope she’ll save some space for me. This kind of love–it hurts. Not because it’s bad or damaging, but because it’s so big that your heart can’t possibly contain it all inside. It gives you hope; it keeps you alive. Whenever somebody asks me what love means to me, I think of her. She’s the sun, and I’m just a planet hopelessly circling around her,” she shared.

With all of this in mind, she understands that her sister already has a mother and that she could never be her sister’s mother. She is an older sibling, but this doesn’t lessen the amount of love she has for her sister. This doesn’t bother her, though. In her view, these emotions stay with a person for their entire lives.

At times, caring for her sister is extremely difficult. Her sister occasionally throws fits or won’t do what she asks her to. Understandably, this can be emotionally draining because she has to focus on school while also taking care of her sister’s needs.

But she gets through it, and she feels like she will continue to manage the best she can. From her perspective, this is the role older sisters are meant to play. Even if they want to give up, they keep pushing through the tough times.

She cares for her sister so much, and the love she has for her sister comes as naturally as inhaling and exhaling. In her experience, it makes her feel at peace, describing it as “falling asleep after a long day.”

It’s her belief that love is the most important thing in the world and is what brings our lives meaning. She feels that even if someone experiences wild success in all other aspects of their lives, they won’t feel complete if they don’t know love. She continued to add that love is a main component of the human experience, and it’s an amazing experience for everyone to have.

Then, she advised others to love whoever they want to love, whether it be romantically, through friendship, or with family. She believes that it’s crucial to be open to being loving and being loved by others. She made the point that at the end of our lives, love will be what matters; the love we show to others around us will be what we are remembered for.

Her sister drew a picture for her the other day, and it was a drawing of the two of them outside together. She was so proud of the beautiful drawing and put it on the wall right above her desk so that she could see it every day.

She has kept nearly all of her sister’s drawings–even the earliest ones from when her sister was first learning to scribble on a piece of paper with a crayon. These drawings are meaningful for her because they encapsulate that time in her sister’s life, and she can look back on them as her sister grows older and changes. She would never throw her sister’s drawings away because they were too important to her.

Do you agree that love is the most important thing of all?
