He Recently Found Out That His Wife Sabotaged His Last Relationship To Be With Him By Creating A Fake Dating Profile Of His Ex-Girlfriend

Three years ago, this 34-year-old married his wife, 31, and they were in a relationship for a year before their wedding.
They have a 2-year-old child together, and his wife is currently pregnant with their second child. He feels like their marriage and their lives are perfect in every way.
While he believes his wife is his one true love, he discovered something yesterday that made his head spin.
Since before they started dating, he and his wife have been working at the same big company. For quite a while, they were just acquaintances.
Before he got to know her, he thought she was attractive but conceited. They barely ever spoke to each other, and at the time, he wasn’t sure that she knew his name.
The most they saw one another was over one summer when they were part of their office’s dodgeball league.
“I had another girlfriend when I was 28. We met online. She was great, but five months into the relationship, a friend sent me screenshots of an online dating profile with her name and pictures. I confronted her, and she vehemently denied it all. But the evidence was right there, and I couldn’t trust her anymore, so we broke up,” he said.
Only several months after the breakup, he and his now-wife matched on an online dating app and started dating.
Prior to this, they had never really talked much at work.

However, there was an immediate connection when they started going out, and everything went smoothly throughout their entire relationship.
They moved somewhat quickly toward marriage and having children, but they were both always on the same page about what they wanted every step of the way. His wife is a great mother, and she is his soulmate.
“But recently, I found out that she had sabotaged my relationship with my ex all those years ago by following my private Instagram account with a fake account, seeing photos of me and my ex (then-girlfriend), stalking her account, and taking pictures from her private Instagram to upload to a dating app,” he explained.
He discovered this when his wife got a new iPhone for her birthday. She asked him to erase everything on her old phone so that they could sell it online.
When he was looking at her old phone, he went to her Instagram and saw that one of her numerous accounts was the same account that followed him leading up to the breakup with his ex.
This account was still following both him and his ex-girlfriend, so his wife must have forgotten to unfollow them.
“It was really weird, and I confronted her. She confessed to everything but kind of blew it off, like, ‘Oh, well, I had such a big crush on you. I did what I had to do. And it worked out, didn’t it?'” he shared.
He thought it was so strange how easily his wife was able to brush everything off as if it wasn’t a big deal.
In response, he told his wife that she was like a stranger to him now because this past behavior was so uncharacteristic of the woman he thought she was.
She was furious and asked him if he cared more about his previous five-month-long relationship than his marriage to her.
Then, she added that they were destined to be together. None of this made him feel any better, and he told his wife she was “crazy.”
This made her cry, and she ended up locking herself in their room while she continued to cry hysterically for a long time.
This revelation baffled him, and when he told his friend about it, his friend said that he should move on.
According to his friend, it’s a sweet story that he’ll be able to share with his grandchildren someday. However, he can’t shake how creepy he thinks the way everything played out in hindsight.
Before he and his wife started going out, she completely ignored him at work, yet in reality, she had an obsession with him so intense that she purposely ruined the relationship he’d been in at the time so that she could swoop in and date him instead.
As far as he knows, his wife hasn’t done anything else shady or behind his back, so this behavior from her past is shocking since it’s so unlike her.
After his friend weighed in, he wondered if he was too harsh and should move on and forgive his wife for sabotaging his previous relationship.
What would you do if you were in his shoes?
