Her Sister Went Behind Her Back And Tried To Get Her Fiancé To Call Off Their Engagement By Saying He Could Do Better, So Now She’s No Longer Attending Her Sister’s Wedding

This 28-year-old woman and her fiancé, Mark, who’s 29, have been engaged for about a year now. She thinks that Mark is a super supportive and kind guy. Plus, she believed that her family always liked him.
However, she also has a 31-year-old sister named Ella, who just so happens to be tying the knot in two weeks.
She and Ella were always close, even though they were quite different from each other. While she is a more introverted and laid-back person, her sister is the “life of the party” and loves being in the spotlight.
“It never bothered me much – until now,” she revealed.
That’s because, about one month ago, Ella actually approached her fiancé Mark and tried to get him to call off their engagement!
For some context, the drama all began when her sister asked her fiancé to grab coffee one day. Ella claimed the reason for the meet-up was that she needed help picking out her wedding present.
“I didn’t think much of it at the time,” she recalled, “But when Mark came home, he was really quiet. After some coaxing, he finally told me what happened.”
She found out that, the entire time, Ella kept trying to convince her fiancé that she wasn’t right for him. Apparently, Ella called her “too boring” and unambitious and claimed that Mark could “do better.”
The worst part was when her sister suggested that her fiancé should just end their engagement and start seeing other people!

“Mark was completely blindsided and upset. He said he defended me, but it was clear that Ella was relentless,” she explained.
Upon learning that her sister had tried to stab her in the back like that, she immediately confronted her sister, too.
Perhaps shockingly, Ella didn’t even try to deny what happened and stated that she’d just been “looking out for Mark.”
This pushed her to ask why Ella thought it was appropriate to interfere in her relationship. To that, her sister merely shrugged and said she was only “being honest.”
She was understandably infuriated and made it clear that Ella’s behavior was entirely out of line. Not to mention, Ella didn’t only hurt her feelings – her sister hurt her fiancé as well.
“But Ella didn’t apologize. Instead, she doubled down, saying that if I was confident in my relationship, I wouldn’t be so upset,” she detailed.
“I ended up leaving her house in tears.”
In the wake of what happened, she’s barely been speaking to Ella, and she no longer plans to attend her sister’s wedding.
Her parents have since heard about the situation, and thankfully, they agree that Ella went too far. Despite that, they’re actually still begging her to attend the nuptials and suggested that she simply “let it go” to keep things peaceful.
Quite frankly, she doesn’t know if that’s even possible, as she cannot think about Ella without her blood boiling.
“I feel betrayed and hurt, and I don’t know if I can just pretend everything is fine for her big day,” she vented.
“Mark supports whatever decision I make, but I can tell he’s hurt by this, too.”
That’s why she’s now unsure whether skipping her sister’s wedding would really be so unreasonable or not.
Why do you think her sister tried to ruin her relationship like that? Would you ever be able to forgive your sibling after this?
