Growing up in the ’90s, TikToker @leeleesstorytime had a great-aunt named Martha. She was a wonderful woman who was at one with nature.

Martha always had wild animals in her yard, and she took good care of them. The animals would walk up to her, even if she didn’t have any food in her hands.

One day, @leeleesstorytime was hanging out with her great aunt Martha, shelling butter beans on the back porch. All of a sudden, the most beautiful and majestic creature she had ever seen appeared in the backyard.

The deer was white with a huge set of antlers, a full mane, a bushy tail, and bright, blue eyes. Her and her aunt Martha’s jaws dropped upon seeing such a gorgeous animal.

The neighbor, Matthew, walked over, caught sight of the deer, and rushed home to grab his gun. Martha told him to leave the deer alone.

She warned him about what would happen if he messed with nature on this property. However, he didn’t believe her old stories and only said that such a rare and unique creature would look good over his fireplace.

He walked away, fuming. Martha knew he would be back to try to kill the deer, and it was their job to stop him. So, they took a bag of corn far out into the woods to lure the deer away from the backyard. Even though they had spread out all that corn, the deer returned to Martha’s yard because they were just so drawn to her.

The next morning, they were on the porch shelling more beans when Matthew walked over and asked if they had seen the deer again.

Martha told him that they hadn’t seen anything and warned him again about not hurting animals on this property because his actions would come back to haunt him.

Later, Martha explained that Matthew refused to learn his lesson about harming animals. When he and his wife first moved to the area, they saw a big rabbit hopping across the road as they were pulling into the driveway.

He hit the gas pedal and hit the rabbit on purpose. They didn’t eat it or keep the skin. He had only wanted to kill a living creature.

Two weeks later, Matthew was hit by a car in the very same spot where he had killed the rabbit. On his day off from work, he went outside to check the mail.

His wife was late for work, so she backed out of the driveway quickly and hit him. He broke his leg, and when he returned home from the hospital, Martha warned him about hurting the animals.

Now, back to the present day, @leeleesstorytime and Martha were sitting on the porch in the evening when they saw the deer again.

At around 4 a.m., they woke up to the sound of gunfire. They flew out the front door and spotted Matthew with his rifle. He wasn’t able to shoot the white deer, but he did kill a baby fawn and its mother.

Martha lost it and declared that his fate had been sealed. That winter, @leeleesstorytime was staying with Martha again. They were putting up a Christmas tree when they heard ambulances coming down the road. They went outside and saw three men dragging Matthew out of the woods.

It turned out that Matthew had taken his eight-year-old son out hunting early in the morning. The child was walking behind his father when he tripped over a root and dropped his weapon.

The gun went off, and multiple bullets struck Matthew’s back. It took the child almost 45 minutes to run home and get help because they were so deep into the woods.

Then, it took first responders another five hours to locate Matthew. They found his body sitting up against a tree next to some old stones. The little boy told police that the accident had happened down at the creek, which was hours away.

When they did Matthew’s autopsy, they discovered large gashes. It looked like an animal with antlers had been ramming him repeatedly.

When Matthew’s son turned 13, he told his stepdad that he saw a white deer on the day his father died, right before he tripped. So, everything came full circle, just as Martha said it would.
