Since moving to Clemson, South Carolina, to start her graduate degree, TikToker Cait (@call.me.caitt) has been looking for a place to do Pilates and yoga.

So, she joined a place called Solshine Yoga, in the hopes that she could meet some new people. She was drawn to this studio because it had a mix of workout classes, and the prices were better than some of the others in the area.

She signed up for a class and then attended it. After the class, the app gave the option to leave a review. There was a star rating system and a space to write comments.

Cait is usually not the type of person to leave reviews, but she decided to write one that day. She was honest throughout her review and gave the class four out of five stars.

She started off her review by listing the things she liked about the class and ended with a few areas in need of improvement. She noted that the instructor was just demonstrating a lot of the moves instead of providing verbal cues, and it was hard for Cait to see the instructor because of the way the room was set up.

At one point, the instructor was using a mat, but Cait didn't have one with her. She was unable to get the instructor's attention to ask for a spare mat.

"That being said, I know I can be a little bit picky at times, and I did enjoy the class overall," Cait said. "In my opinion, a four out of five-star review is still a good review. I thought nothing of it."

The next day, she went to another class, and everything was fine. But the day after that, she checked the app and noticed that she had been unbooked from all the classes she had previously booked. Her membership profile showed that she no longer had an all-access pass in her account.

At first, she thought it was just a computer glitch because booking apps can be finicky. After about a day, she walked into the studio to explain her situation. She asked if there had been a computer error and if she could get her pass restored.

The woman who responded to her was the owner of the studio and the instructor for the first class Cait had taken. She looked Cait in the eye and told her that she had revoked her all-access pass because of the review she had left.

Cait's mouth dropped open in shock. She ended up telling the lady that she didn't think it was a bad review, and she had only left one because the app had asked her to. She could not comprehend that the lady was kicking her out of the studio, all because of a four-star review.

"She tells me that this is her studio's grand opening, and she can't have that kind of negative energy within her studio, and that it's a small town and that business is a strategy, and she can't have me making a bad name for her business through this booking app for the four-star review I wrote," Cait said.

At this point, Cait was starting to get annoyed and upset. She confirmed with her that she was not allowed back in the studio and left in tears.

She felt so disrespected that she decided to write another review online. She described exactly what happened.

"I feel like people have the right to know that this business is not genuine and that if they're willing to treat people like this, they are not a good business that cares about you," Cait concluded.
