When TikToker @seagulllover was 12, she and her best friend sneaked out of the house around midnight one summer night in 2020, and they almost got kidnapped. She lived in a very safe neighborhood, where all her neighbors were retired.
They skateboarded around the neighborhood and reached a nature trail connected to the neighborhood. There was a bridge that led to the elementary school playground.
An apartment complex was located next to the playground. They were practicing their skateboarding tricks at the playground at around 1:30 a.m. when a white car drove past.
“Neither of us says anything, but we both kind of notice it, and of course, the car comes back, but this time, it’s blasting music,” she recalled.
“It parks, and sure enough, a man gets out of the car. He’s like mid-height, and he looks like he could be about 25.”
He yelled over to them, saying that he was so glad to have met some other skateboarders. He then hopped back into his car, drove away, and came back with a skateboard of his own. He wanted to teach them some cool tricks.
“So, we’re all practicing our tricks together, and at this point, he’s like, let me help you guys with your tricks,” said @seagulllover.
“He’s putting his hands on our waists. He knows how old we are now, by the way, and we know how old he is. I do remember him being between 24 and 27, somewhere around there.”
After about 30 minutes, he suggested that they go down by the apartment complex. The girls followed him, and he tried to ask where they lived, but they were super vague about it.

There was a lake next to the complex, and they hung out on the dock. He insisted that they go for a swim, but they refused. He also tried to get them to go back to their place, but they weaseled their way out of that as well.
Hours later, the sun was starting to come up. They were sitting in a field right by the complex when he suddenly announced that he needed to pee.
He walked about 10 feet away and pulled down his pants in front of them. That was when the mood completely changed, and the girls realized they were in danger.
“While he’s finishing his disturbing bathroom break, we are coming up with a plan to get out of this safely and kind of discreetly because we didn’t know what was going to happen next,” said @seagulllover.
“So, he comes back over, and he starts talking to us about his life. Now, we’re still in the field, still sitting down, and he tells us he’s a middle school boys and girls soccer coach.”
Not only was he a middle school coach, but he also liked to hang out with his players outside of practice and take them to a nearby skate park.
He pulled up his social media account and insisted that the girls follow him. He showed them a bunch of videos of him alone with skateboarding children.
By then, it was around 4 a.m. He invited them up to his apartment. They walked with him to his building and asked if they were coming inside. They made up an excuse to leave, which caused him to become furious.
They were terrified and ran back to @seagulllover’s house. They went to sleep and woke up the next day to find a message from that guy on social media. He asked to meet at the skate park at 3 p.m. In the end, he blocked them.
