The Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth is directed at, unsurprisingly, young people (teens and young adults) looking for their first tablet, and if they choose this one, they probably won’t be disappointed. The 7” aluminum unibody tablet is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 350 g, and runs on a dual-core 1.6 GHz processor with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Not bad so far, but the really impressive part is that they managed to get 1080p playback included, and the 4,100 mAh battery isn’t too shabby, either.
When it sees release, the MediaPad 7 Youth will be available in Wi-Fi only and HSPA+ (21 Mbps) models. It will be sold in Russia, China, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe sometime during Q3. Pricing is as of yet unknown, and will probably vary by region.
