What Happens When Maleficent Meets Bejeweled?

There’s a new Disney movie coming – time to update the apps accordingly. Disney is changing it up, taking Frozen Free Fall and blasting it with green magic. You can now get Maleficent Free Fall on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 ahead of Angelina Jolie’s turn as the most iconic of Disney villains.

Free Fall – lets not talk around the issue – is a Bejeweled clone, which in turn was probably a clone of you know what, I don’t know how deep this rabbit hole goes. Point is, you’re trying to match three like shapes so they go away. I’m going to go out on a limb and say you’ve done this before. In the Maleficent version, you can occasionally use green magic to eliminate everything of the same color, or use her raven to rearrange the board, if it’s not to your liking.

It’s not reinventing the wheel, but hey, you like Maleficent, and I know you like rearranging jewels into sets of three to make them disappear. I’m pretty sure we can empirically state that’s part of human nature now. Maleficent Free Fall is available for free on the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Store now.
