Snip, Snip These Are The 5 People You Need To Cut Right Out Of Your Life In Order To Succeed

In a perfect world, everyone would help support you in your path to success, and I hate to tell you it’s far from perfect out there. At the end of the day, you have complete control over your life and this absolutely extends to who you choose let in, or show the door.

It took me a long time to realize that I had the power to cut someone right out of my life for impacting my happiness, success, and sanity. It’s a super power you have too, you probably just don’t realize it yet. Life is far too short to spend it around toxic people that just try to tear you down, and it’s time to make a change. If you’re looking for the permission to make this change, I’m giving it to you!

You are who you choose to surround yourself with, and these are the 5 people you need to cut right out of your life in order to succeed. Don’t feel badly and don’t look back.

Anyone Who Takes Advantage Of You

If you’ve spent most of your life being too nice and failing to set boundaries while letting people walk all over you, it’s time to stand up for yourself. Anyone who takes advantage of you (and I don’t care if they’re a friend or a freaking family member) absolutely needs to go.

If you’re not sure if someone is taking advantage of you, here are a few easy ways to tell: they constantly “borrow” money from you and never pay you back, they ask you for favors nonstop and never help you out, they’re nowhere to be found if you need to talk or vent.

Any relationship is a give and take. If someone takes, and takes, and takes, and never gives, they simply don’t deserve to be a part of your life.

Anyone Who Judges You

High school should be the absolute last place where you had judgmental friends. Why? Because I’m giving you a pass and assuming you didn’t know any better back then. If you have a friend that you can’t be yourself around, that you can’t feel supported by, that you can’t be comfortable around; you can’t have this friend. Same goes for family members.

Anyone Who Can’t Own Up To Their Mistakes Or Take Responsibility For Their Actions

Part of being human is making mistakes every now and again. It happens. It’s life. If you have someone in your life that cannot ever own up to their mistakes or take responsibility for their actions, you need to get them out of your life.

You cannot help someone that consistently makes poor choices and blames everything on everyone else. So stop trying.

Anyone Who Is A Raging Pessimist

Pretty much every Negative Nancy excuses their behavior by saying they’re just a realist. They’re not, they’re a raging pessimist. You can’t even count on one hand the times they have had anything nice or positive to say.

All this negativity and pessimism is a never ending downward spiral and it’s sucking you in. They complain, and complain, and complain, but can’t get out of their own way. It’s time to stop letting them get in yours.

Anyone Who Manipulates You

If you have someone in your life that manipulates you and tries to convince you that things or situations didn’t happen the way they really did, you need to get rid of them.

I’m sure you wouldn’t pick a significant other that treated you like this, and you need to hold your friends and family to those same standards. Anyone who is manipulative does not and will not ever have your best interests at heart; they only care about themselves and what they can get out of people and things.
